Pioneer Valley Kinfe and Tool, aka, pvknife.com has been quite inconvenient and troublesome to patronize. "Buyer Beware." Josh Burbank - the *pvknife.com* representative, also reportedly runs "bladeauction.com", where he is also a vendor.

Dave, please be more specific! I have always found Josh to be one of the best in the business. What has happened to get you down on him and PVK&T?

"Always just one knife short of perfection!"

Until recently I tought the same. In just the past month alone have done over $500.00 in business. I am currently involved in a "missing knives" dispute. There was an error somewhere between PVK&T and my home. I have not been given the benefit of the doubt, instead "stonewalled", not quite what I expected from Josh, very odd and frustrating. Obviously, if I am at the point of posting a complaint on Blade Forum, something has gone terribly wrong. All I want is speedy restitution and resolution. I plan to stick with the folks I know best. this will not happen again, fool me once...

Yeah, thats strange. Sounds uncharacteristic of Josh. Each time I ordered from him I got great service. Sorry to hear from a reputable guy.

Any more opinions on this company? I was about to order something from there but now that I see this, and have heard one other story from a friend I am no longer sure it is such a good idea. I REALLY want the knife though :)

I have had good luck ordering from Josh at PVK. I have ordered well over a dozen times without a problem. He is a little touch and go on emails though. He might take 10 minutes or 10 days to email you back.

Thanks! Think I might risk it then.......

It kind of sketched me out when no one answered the phone after calling a few times, but I think ive seen enough positive reviews of him to go for it

Josh has always served me well,,Would like to see some new items but other than that ships right out.

I ordered two auto knives from in within the last two weeks. Arrived in three days no problems. I have used him a least six times without a problem.

Your lucky.....its been forever for me....he wont e mail back or answer the phone. Do u have a point of contact for PVK that could help me out?

I've only dealt with him once, and that was about a year or so ago. Things were handled smoothly and rapidly.
There was one minor problem, which I emailed him about on a Saturday and got a reply back the next morning..Sunday!

The only real complaints I have seen all had to do with getting an email response from him.
The last I heard he was a one-man shop, which could partially explain the spotty communications problems.

Only suggestion I can make is be patiently persistent and polite.

I bought one there Microtech, he was sent and arrived quickly.
The second order, made on April 29, disappeared!
Josh does not respond to email (5-6 letters) and telephone calls, I have a very negative thoughts about this ...

Josh is going though some fairly major personal issues at the moment. While JB can be a little slow to deliver sometimes he's basically an honest guy IMHO. Give him the benefit of the doubt for now. If worst comes to worst you can usually do chargeback on aCC if you don't receive your item.

Notice the first few posts are eleven years old. This act has been going on a long time.
Search this forum and you'll find other threads questioning his customer service skills.

I had a inquiry taken out on the money I sent him more than a month ago. It came back it was reported cashed to his name by Bank of america. He ripped me off blind .....still havent heard from him. Disgusting
