Please, Please Help. Stolen Busse's

I know it's a longshot man, but I hope the LEOs pull through for you and that everything turns out alright.

I'd think so. That'll only work a few weeks though, until the first buyer goes beast mode. Unless of course she offers expedited shipping then they'll be suspicious a bit faster.

If you go to "see other items" and then check "completed listings," you can see where this knife was listed as "sold" twice before. But if you look at the bids, you'll see that in both cases, the buyer has 0 feedback and has no bidding history other than that particular auction. It looks like someone's creating sham accounts to win the auctions, and since the seller's not leaving negative feedback, I'd guess she's the one doing it. Maybe smelled a trap? Maybe even following this thread?

Or she is just is putting in an artificial bid to keep it from selling for less than she wants while still being able to say "no reserve", which buyers like to see.

I guess it's possible, but the top legitimate bids were $275 and $309.99, which is about what I'd expect a GW to sell for.

Or listing on eBay and then trying to finish the transaction offline to ripoff another person?

Either way, id stay away from that Headache

I think that this about where I would try to publicly embarrass eBay for being ok with allowing members to rip off others repeatedly using the same piece of stolen property. Not even my knives and this gives me heartburn just thinking about it. Really sorry this whole bad mess happened to you, TheMtnMan... :(
