Guys, BladeForums is where I learned to make knives, and have run my business from the start. I owe this place a lot. If you do a search here at BF, you can see the entire thing develop and get rolling. Please show your support for the forum by buying a membership. A Gold Membership allows you the freedom to buy, sell and trade. Forums aren't an easy business, and they aren't very lucritive either. The owner here, Spark, has been in charge since I joined, and his forum has nurtured Fiddleback Forge from the seedling stages.

As an incentive for us all to go Gold, I want all folks with a Gold membership or better (even if you've been Gold for years) to take $5 off their next Fiddleback Forge purchase.

 Very cool of you Andy...Thank you and thanks to BladeForums.

Great incentive Andy; BladeForums is a worthwhile site to support, not to mention they provide us all with a great forum to have access to your brand!

That's cool of you bro, I'll pay the $5 though and if we get others to do the same, maybe we can put the money back into the forum somehow.

I bought a membership within a couple days of registering to the forum. Owning/operating a forum is not cheap - especially with the amount of bandwidth this dude is occupying. I have a small one (5,000 registered users) for a specific genre of motorcycles. It's a headache, and I'm about to give it away. Props to Sparks .. but some of the super mods here could use a class in interpersonal communications. Just sayin.

I second this

Good thread, admirable intentions, and a very nice offer Andy. Thank you kindly.

Sincerely,
Mark

I've been meaning to do this for a few weeks now, thanks for the reminder/push.

Just upgraded to gold!

Yep, I've been a paying member here going on seven years, after a little while of lurking thanks to a suggestion by my friend Rick Marchand, whom I had met as a mod on another forum. Most of the first year as a basic member, the rest as a gold member except for the one year I went platinum. Some of the mods could stand some lessons in this, and as with anywhere, a few of the members could too. A few could have stood to be taken out and caned...but most of those find the door one way or another. However, I have met some truly fantastic people, and some of my best friends on this forum, and I am very glad to have found this forum. The ability to sell knives second hand to a market of knife nuts rather than random individuals, flea markets, or pawn shops has more than paid for what I have spent on memberships over the years. To me the gold membership is well worth what it costs. For me this forum is something that is definitely worth supporting!

This post was one of the driving factors in my going gold. I've lurked fpr years using the knowledge from this fourm...I owe this fourm too in a way. Thanks for helping push me along!

I've been a paying member for some years now. How do I order one of your knives? Due to time difference, I have never been successful in getting one when they're offered on the forum.

I decided to get a gold membership to get more out of the site. It's a lot of work to keep this place running so it's good to see the support. One funny observation is that only gold members replied to this post! :-\ Where is the love?

I'll send a pm in a minute.

Well, at least two of them were not gold a few days ago ;) Is that not the love of which you speak? :)

I'm not Gold, but will be tomorrow! :) Very good point guys, support the Fiddleback lifeline! Thanks Andy!

That's awesome Will. To me it is just a great $30 a year investment, with awesome returns on various levels :)
