Please suggest small fixed blade knife for every day carry.

If you are wanting a fixed blade, I'm assuming it's for self defense purposes. The Benchmade 375 Adamas fixed blade has a great thin kydex sheath, very positive connector clasp, and paracord wraped handle. However the blade length is 4.20", so it's .20" longer that you are wanting.

The Kabar TDI LE Knife would work great.

The Ontario DPX Hest DPHSX001 would fit the bill nicely.

GSO suggested the CRKT 2387 Minimalist. I'll second that.

Don't know if you would be interested in this style, but the Al Mar Claw, or the Cold Steel Urban Pal/Safe Maker II are good defensive knives in my book. The Safe Maker II is just a larger version of the Urban pal. All the knives with positive grip mentioned above, accept the Puukko (slippery when wet/no guard) are great choices. Hope this helps.

Not new to knives. New to small nice knives. I have a Gerber LMF and Becker Companion. I am just more into guns than knives and am trying to put together my EDC gear. Lots of suggestions here which will help.

Boker Tom Krein Pocket Bowie is a good clip point small[3 finger] economical user.--KV
That was my initial thought as well. Its blade length (2.5") might be a little too short based on the OP's specs, however.

I don't mean to thread Jack, but can you tell me where you got the scales for the BK 11?

I'm not sure if i can post exactly where but most places online that sell beckers also carry the scales for them or just google bk-11 micarta scales

A very traditional small fixed blade can be a puukko. The middle one fits in my jeans pocket in sheath. I could still shorten the handle a bit to make it even shorter and it still feels good in my hand.

I can't quite discern which model the middle one is... is it the grandmother?

As other have stated, Bark River Knives makes a wide variety.

That's a Woodland Special with a 3" blade on top for size comparison.

It's one of my most carried EDC fixed blades.

Fallkniven F1 and Spyderco Street Beat-
Excellent slicers, minimal form factor and low maintenance steel.

I would suggest a Tobin Smith EDC... great little knife at a great little price. [link] it may say "sold out" but if you contact him I'm sure he'll get you squared away...

I've been interested in this type of knife as well. I've bought a Becker BK11 then I stipped it and blued it. I think it works well for EDC if your pockets are big enough.

Others I've been interested in- TOPS Blue Otter, TOPS CAT, TOPS Little Bro, Tops UTE. One of the reasons I like the TOPS models is that they have a pretty keen point and they are available in 1095 steel.

Some of these knives are too slick, no traction, jimping, hilt, or deep choil. I imagine blood on your knife would be like oil. Your knife will have to have at least one of those features as a defensive blade.

If you are wanting a fixed blade, I'm assuming it's for self defense purposes.

That's a pretty ignorant statement.

Many of us carry fixed blades daily and use them as the tools they are.

I never consider self defense when I select my daily EDC.

Nowhere do I see the OP asking of a self defense knife.
