PLEASE try this new strop!!!

Haha, I'm glad he did bump this thread, I would have never known with out it. now how about those pictures pictures. :D

I used this on my ZDP Caly Jr, which had gone from hair whittling to shaving after some cutting. I just went and used my latest AAA magazine which is nice and shiny and after maybe 30 strokes per side it whittles hair again. It probably helps it's a Krein regrind on a microbevel, but you could see it progress to tree topping then to better hair whittling abilities with more strikes. I have to try the tear drop shape on my Superhawk soon.

I have used various forms of paper before but after reading this thread, just now, I tried the telephone book on my slightly dull, from cutting boxes, ect. EDC, SOG Flash II, AUS 8 which seems fairly soft. The slick paper works great.

It was sharpened on the EP and polished on the 3000# and 7000# tapes last time is was sharpened a month ago but had turned into fine scratches and slightly dull from use. The shinny paper stropping brought it back to aggressively shaving sharp with about 50 strokes each side. Not tree topping sharp but cleanly popping hairs at the surface of the skin. A little bit toothy I think but much better then dull, before it was stropped again. Much better then copier paper or news print too. Kind of amazing.
