Well I got taken for the first time in all my time being a purchaser. I was reached out by another member Hvactech Hvactech concerning a purchase he had made from a seller we both purchased from. Seller being PM2Phanatic. I also recieved tracking but no movement or sign of the package being dropped off with usps. I'm out 180 and a PM2 10v, I had been searching for. Lesson learned for me I'm just glad I used goods and services to make my purchase. Hopefully I can get my money back. Hvactech Hvactech thank you for reaching out to me brother.

It’s only been a week today, right, with holidays ? Don’t want to give it a few more days before passing judgement ?

Note that it could be USPS’ fault; I’ve lost a package like this as USPS didn’t scan properly - issued a refund after two weeks without tracking updates.
 
I was not trying to pass judgment so quick. But the item that was purchased does not even show to be dropped off. I know we all get busy in life but if I make a transaction with any one I have that package dropped off next day not a week later. The purchaser would also get a photo copy off drop of slip. Same day as drop off.
 
This seems a bit premature given this is Christmas week. I see you've already given him a negative review. This was neither prudent nor wise at this stage, in my opinion, regardless of whether you have been scammed or not.

What do you mean by saying he has you "blocked"? Are you saying you cannot PM him any more? Have you tried to send him a follow-up PM asking whether he shipped yet? Was his profile visible before and now it is not; or was it always hidden?

The only reason I can think of that somebody would hide their profile would be to conceal their "Last seen" data, which to me would be enough to avoid engaging in any deals with that person.

Hvactech messaged me Friday asking about my transaction with PM2Phanatic. He let me know he was going to message him asking if his package had been drop off and he yet to reply of im not mistaken.

I guess I'm not really "blocked" as per say his profile was visible and is now hidden i guess. I did not message him about the package being shipped off but another member did and he has yet to get a reply from him. If I was selling an item to you or anyone here. It would not take more than a day for me to get the item out and scanned to usps or what ever shipping method we agree upon. Even if it is the holidays I made a commitment to selling an item and I should get it to the purchaser as soon as I can. If im wrong I will ask admin here to delete me from this forum.
 
I have to agree with D Dominicy that if he paid on the 19th the knife should have been shipped in the next couple of days or the seller should have communicated that there would be delays.
The fact that this is happening to two buyers at the same time by a seller who’s profile is hidden and has barely 70 posts is suspicious. New members who are selling should be extra cautious in communiating. The burden is on the seller to get the knife to the buyer in a reasonable time.
 
Mentioned this in another thread, alleged scammer is a gold member. Did he pay for that membership with cash or an EMT? Should be an electronic trail with banking information. Someone should probably step up and do something about this guy.

I also agree that the sky is blue, as I'm sure everyone else does. But in reality, some sellers are not as responsive as we would like them to be. Some drag their feet on the shipping and ignore communication until the item is shipped. There is not yet enough evidence to conclude this is a scam. I would wait until next Wednesday. If I did not hear back from the seller or see any activity on the tracking number, then I would move forward with the PayPal dispute.

The good news is that D Dominicy was smart enough to use PayPal G&S, so he is covered.
 
It looks to me that PM2Phanatic PM2Phanatic sold at least 6 knives in the week prior to Christmas. It's possible his plan was to prepare, package, and ship them all out at the same time; which may mean a longer wait time for earlier buyers. Reading through his sale threads, I'm inclined to believe these are all legitimate sales. Hiding the profile is indeed shady, but doesn't prove he is scamming anyone. His lack of communication is irresponsible, but again doesn't mean he intends to rob people. If I was a buyer, I would wait to see if he ships early in the week. If nothing by Wednesday, I would open a PayPal dispute.

I am sure when we hear from PM2Phanatic PM2Phanatic he will explain the hiding of his profile when he has about $1000 of other members money.
Hopefully he does intend to ship all at once and communicates that fact to all of his buyers.

What it does prove is that he is hiding his profile after becoming aware people are questioning his motives and instead of responding to a buyer's messages (and mitigating concerns about his integrity) he went into stealth mode. It's a little more than shady, usually where there is smoke there is fire.
