PMP Alpha Beast coming soon, OMG!

HaHa!! I know, I know. Just good old fashioned "Man Humor". No harm intended. None of the knives pictured are even my own personal knives. I do have an original PMP Beast and just placed my order for the new Alpha Beast the day it was released this week. Aside from those and a few other knives, I mainly collect the 1987 Buck / Phrobis 186 "The Titanium" and 1988-2000's Buck 560 / XLTi Titanium models. For all practical purposes, Buck 110 folding hunters with Titanium scales. Same overall lengths as the 110 but slimmer, lighter and farrr fewer made.

FYI: For anyone interested, the Bronze ($500) and Black DLC Coated ($550) PMP Alpha Beasts arrived today and are now in stock at White Mountains Knives. They'll be sold out by tomorrow, if not by tonight. The other 3 color options sold out in less than 24 hours a couple days ago. Tools For Gents was the only company taking pre-orders for the Alpha Beast and all 5 color options were Sold Out there before the knife was even released. White Mountain Knives is currently the only other company to get an allotment. Once those are gone, that may be all she wrote. IDK? Again, for anyone interested. ⏲️

Update: Bronze is already Sold Out at White Mountain Knives. Only the Black DLC Coated is left. ⏲️

5:00AM 09/11/22: Mornin'. Yep, just checked White Mountain Knives again. Black DLC coated is now Sold Out too. Going strictly by the time I received the In Stock email notification from WMK yesterday afternoon, both the Bronze and Black DLC coated Sold Out in less than 12 hours. I did get some possible good news last night from a guy on eBay. I was always under the impression the production number on the limited edition model PMP Knives was the total number of knives produced. According to him, it's the total number of knives produced in that specific color, not the total number produced of the model itself. Again, that's just what I was told by a guy on eBay last night, not sure if the guy knew what he was talking about or not.

Thanks on the Red Horse Knife Works. I should have been more clear and will make the editing correction now. I referred to it as a "FATTY", which it is, but the model itself is a War Pig. Not too many made and they were discontinued +/- 5 years ago.

I saw this at Blade West 2022 this month. The guy was really good demonstrating it, but lapse to point out which shows on a video the two pins moving outward when you activate the slider to close it. He definitely talked about it being a folder that becomes a fixed blade. It just made me think of Arnold and Terminator when he said it was called T1000. I totally considered bribing him to be able to take it home! I am trying not to lose out when it drops. I'm not a folder guy so much but the compound grind gets me. It's bolder than on my Benchmade 496 Vector. It seems to be man-jewelwery like Medford! I can live happily without it, but I'll try if opportunity meets readiness. I love strange, but inside practical threshold knives & gear!
