Pocket Carry--Front or Back?

Tried carrying in back pocket, lost the knife. The replacement of that one knife lead down the slippery slope of a sicko knife addiction :D

Two knives---two pockets. My large knife goes clipped into my right front and it is the only thing in my right front, while my small knife, usually a slipjoint, goes into my left front pocket along with any change I may have. It's always been this way ans it always will be this way...:)

If I pocket carry, I keep a fixed blade in my right front, and a folder in my left front. I prefer IWB or inner jacket pocket carry for most things though.

This is the reason I love carpenter's pants.:thumbup::thumbup:

You know you are a knife nut when your first consideration about the garments as to how knife friendly they are. My wife bought a pair of shorts, I sat down in her car and my slipjoint fell out of the bottom pocket and hit the concrete. I never wore that pair again. I told her these shorts are just not going to work for me.

I carry my BM grip in right front pocket, and the slipjoint for the day in my left back pocket. It does not interfere with sitting.

Hahaha, yep...I've been wearing Carhartts for the last few months because they have an extra left side pocket as well that most carpenter jeans don't. This makes for an extra pocket to comfortably carry my flashlight. My GF makes fun of me for it, but that's ok ;). I wore a pair of carpenter jeans the other day (Lee Dungarees) that didn't have the left pocket, so I was without my flashlight, and my knife fell out of the right carpenter pocket when getting out of the car. I said to my GF, "well, these jeans are going in the junk pile for sure now." She just called me a typical guy for having my one preferred style/brand of jeans. :D:thumbup:

Both at once. Usually, I have a one-hander clipped to my right front pocket, and a slipjoint in my right back pocket.

As I sit now.

Zero Tolerance 0610ST Automatic, tip-up, RFP
Kershaw S60V blur, tip-down, LFP

I do want to get some tru-spec/propper/5.11 pants that have the dedicated knife pocket though, along with a reinforced pocket.

My main EDC is always in my right front pocket with a smaller backup in my left back pocket. The backup is usually for when I'm around people that aren't knife friendly but I need to use my knife.

I like my blades in the Right Back Pocket. I hate having to dodge my knife to get to my keys in my front pockets. But reading posts about these people loosing their knives out of their back pockets makes me think twice about back pocket carry.

I've always carried it in my front right pocket, but once i started carrying slippies I would carry that in my front right pocket and a more tactical/defensive folder in my back right pocket. I think I can get the knife into my hand faster when its in my back pocket for some reason.

2 OD-1's one right side clip/one left.....if I'm going to the bank with a wad of cash,I add an American Derringer M-4 in .45 colt in back pocket

I quit carrying knives in my back pocket the first time some smart ass came up behind me and grabbed it out of my pocket. I've become quite adverse to carrying a lethal object openly where somebody can come up and just grab it out.

309 left front pocket 110 on belt if not it's in left rear pocket in custom seath made for pocket carry

I carry only waved knives, Emersons or stuff I waved. I'll keep a framelock CQC7 with a normal right handed clip in my left rear pocket. It will draw forward into an icepick grip, edge out. In my right pocket I like to have a Super CQC7 framelock with the clip mounted for a lefty, so I can draw in the same forward wave icepick grip.

Remind me not to mug or otherwise surprise you.. :p
