Pocket Carry--Front or Back?

My knife == Right front pocket against the back seam.
Loaner Knife (If I carry one that day) == Right front pocket if it does not have a clip, right rear if it does.

Why? Since grade school days "My Knife" has been in the right front pocket. After I started getting knives with clips it seemed natural to leave them there. When I started getting higher end knives, I started carrying loaner knives for others to borrow. Why carry loaners? That way I do not have to see "My Knives" come back all jacked up from idiots.

I usually carry one clipped to right front and one clipped to left rear, this when carrying my .45 on right hip. If the .45 is at home and the .32 is in right front pocket, then I carry one clipped to each rear pocket.

BTW, for those who desire to carry clipped knives low profile, I highly recommend these pocket sheaths. They are available right and left, and work in both front and back pockets.

Right front pocket, when im not carrying in the waistband, which I only do for tip down knives, because it is easily accessable and I hate sitting on stuff so I dont even put my wallet in my back pocket. I only occasionally stick an sak in my back pocket because.... well I have no reason for it i just do, but i take it out within a half hour or so.

Whoa, what is that? What is it what is it.. I love low ride pocket clips but I don't recognize that one at all. Please don't tell me that it is a $10,000 custom available tip down with serrations only..

Part of the reason I made the comment about mugging you CM is because I followed one of your links once to a video of you doing your double wave draws. Pretty slick dude, and definitely really F'g scary! Only problem from your end though is after seeing that the bad guy might be ready and armed to throw some poo at you. :D

I think it's the Buck Vantage.

SAK in right front pocket, 3" locking folder, Delica or mini Grip with clip removed, in left rear pocket. This is the setup for casual and dressy wear. For construction work, I carry a 3.5" folder clipped to RF pocket and SAK in left rear.

I like being able to access a knife with either hand. Speed is not a big need, but unobtrusiveness is. So no exposed clips in social settings.

Wow, not too shabby. I may just have to add that to the list. It sounds like they are kind of hit or miss with the lockup though. Maybe that is fixed with newer ones?

Btw, I usually clip RF...although bigger ones feel better in the back R (although I can't bring myself to actually carry a bigger one around the office or city...it just doesn't seem prudent, or necessary for that matter)

I carry in my back right pocket. I use my RFP all the time, and any knife clipped in it gets in the way.

so, my para rides in the back with my big skinny wallet, don't even feel either of them, but they are both there when I need them!
