Pocket sheath/pocket carry help please

I use a rubber band as a wallet, basically credit cards/etc with my money warpped around it and than my knife on top of it with a rubber band wrapped around it all. The rubber has enough grip to make sure everything stays secure and doesn't move around, combine that with the length/width of the cards once you drop it in your pocket it stays there very securely.

Great idea too. Thanks

Solved.

^ :D That leaves just about enough room for all my foldin' money....

I've been using the KSF pocket slips pretty much daily for a while now, and love' em. Rides in my front left pocket.

The pouches I have are similar to ones already mentioned and pictured. One pouch I like using is the slip pouch that comes with Canal Street Cutlery knives. It has a grippy suede like fabric outside, slick inside, and a drawstring. It isn't bulky and weighs practically nothing and its grippy enough to hold its place in my pocket next to my wallet.

Jone I use several, most of which have been mentioned here already. The KSF pocket sheath works well for the larger folders. I have a small Case slip for protecting smaller knives but it doesn't do much to keep the knife straight.

The "doohickey" in the other thread looks most promising. I EDC a small pistol in my fromnt pocket using a sheath with a similar design made by DeSantis. The material is grippy so the pistol stays upright and the sheath remains in the pocket went the gun is drawn. I think this would also be desireable for a knife in this configuration. The grippy surface of the holster is what makes the design. Here's a shot showing the texture of the surface.

I'd like to try my hand at making a knife doohickey if I can find the right material. Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm also curious about the GEC sleeves. Do any of our sponsoring dealers carry them?

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

PS I know you didn't ask but if you decide you want a belt sheath I highly recommend Al Dodge. He's a forum sponsor, superb craftsman and all around nice guy. Here is one he made for me recently.

I hope somebody buys some and reviews them

I have a couple of the William Henry slips. They are nice, came with the knives which makes them pretty spendy!:D

The William Henry clip cases are nice--I enjoy using them with both my Davison and Erickson (though the latter was just sold, it might come back to me). The only issue is that one's knife is out (and easier to grab to use), and sometimes I prefer to have it deeper in my pocket.

Great holsters. Awesome material that grip and repel sweat. Knife pouches made of this stuff would be great.

my vote would be for a belt sheath if your daily attire will allow it. no affilition, just like this style. this is how i carry my pocket knives when i can.

They are listed as mini, small, medium and large on their website - couldn't seem to find any measurements in inches. Any idea which size/s you have and the measurements?
Thanks

I bought a leather tool roll at Harbor Freight years ago to cut up for projects. Only a few bucks and the pockets seem to be of various sizing. Pick one wide enough, cut to length and stitch the bottom!

Could you please tell us how many grams the small KSF weighs? And can we see a pic of the knife in the pouch, from the top. Im trying to see if the knife is covered, if the pouch is in a pocket with keys and coins. Or do you carry the knife in a dedicated pocket?

Jon -

Looks like 24.8 grams. The small seems to cover most pocket knives up to 3-7/8" in length with a little room to spare.

Agreed, and that's a great idea. I have that same holster.
