Ponder not .45 vs 9mm.....perhaps peruse the perfection of the polymer platform.

I have Glocks, Hk's, and Colt's. It doesn't matter what I like, but what you feel confident with for your intended use.

IMHO, out of the box, the best value out there is a Colt Gold Cup. My polymer choice is a HK P30. The interchangeable grip pieces make this one of the most comfortable guns to shoot, and it is pretty accurate out of the box as well.

I haven't had the pleasure to shoot an Ed Brown or and XD - maybe one day

To compare a Glock to a Busse - well, hmmmm? :D

lunde--- Thanks for the pix. Fantastic pistols.
My old P9s 9mm was the most accurate pistol that I ever shot with.

I like that Ed Brown!

Whether polymer or steel....if they work when needed...that is the main thing:thumbup:

My personal preference is a "tweaked" Sig P210...but that is on familiarity, reliability and accuracy and the fact 9mm is virtually obligatory if you are outside the US.

A "tweaked" Sig P210, eh? My Sig P210-2 has been tweaked a bit:

The most obvious tweak is the hard-chrome finish, done by Tripp Research, along with the Nill grips. The not-so-obvious tweaks are the Nill beavertail that is permanently attached to the frame, and the Novak's low-mount night sights. Great shooter!

Here's my other P210, a P210-5LS (six-inch slide/barrel, built-in beavertail, and American magazine release):

Very few Sig P210-5LSes were ever made.

I own plenty of pistols chambered in what many call 9mm Luger, but I do not own any Lugers per se. :o

How about a Walther PPK/S that was made in 1976?

Ken---A Blued Walther PPK is on my list. I had a SS PPK but the Blue is the Classic. Great pix and thanks.
Now, go get a Luger Pistol.

Getting back to 9mm Glocks, how about the Glock 18C?

In addition to being given the opportunity to photograph that Glock 18C two years ago, by virtue of knowing Glock's West Coast representative, I also had a chance to put about 250 rounds through it.:thumbup:

Now THAT's bananas. Very nice pull there, Ken. And btw...those Nil Grips really make your guns POP!. I can't imagine how long it took you to find the 18c, though.

ETA: Ahhh...i thought it was yours. I'm sure you enjoyed the heck out of it, though.

RedbeAR15, you wrote:
Have you run across any of the new ones for sale?
Nope, but I also haven't been looking very hard, mainly due to the fact that the chance of them becoming certified for California sale is somewhere between zero and none. :grumpy:

Colt will apparently be releasing two versions. They showed what is equivalent to the "enhanced" version at the 2008 SHOT Show. Here is a photo I took:

They showed what is equivalent to an original version at this year's SHOT Show. Here is a photo I took:

Mine started out as an original one in stainless steel. I bought it from a local fellow for $700, and it included about 1,000 rounds of defensive ammo. It was LNIB.

Sheesh...that is a RIDICULOUS deal.

Brian---What a fantastic pistol. Thanks for the photos.
Can I have it, please?
:D

Dear Sir,
do you have any photos of my favorite wonder 9, the Browning Hi- power...I have a year before mine comes home from Heirloom Precision
