Ponder not .45 vs 9mm.....perhaps peruse the perfection of the polymer platform.

Do you have any photos of my favorite wonder 9, the Browning Hi-Power.
I own two Hi-Powers, one of which is a Renaissance (fully engraved with "coin" finish) that was made in 1972:

Any Walther P-38's, lunde?? :D
Nope, but how about a P5 and P5 Compact, which are effectively highly-evolved P38s?

P5:

P5C:

Both are wearing Nill grips. The grips of both are the same length/height, but the magazine release is different. The P5 uses a heal (aka, European) release, and the P5C uses a thumb (aka, American) release.

You will have to let me know when you have a "range day" Lunde....especially on those Sig's and the Ed Brown....hell...I might fly over for a day like that!!! Do you compete at all with some of those? They certainly look up to it? Your chrome P210 with Novak sights if it had their American mag release option done would be very similar to the one I had...save mine was kept blued...not mine but similar in spec is this one....

They were precursers to the P210-8....which I wish they still made.

I'll slam Glocks, they feel cheap, they shoot cheap, they point high and they are built cheap....

That said...they always work and go bang.

I'll still go with my Brown's, Wilson's and Baur's any day.

Oh, and Bob...HK's are OK in my book as are Sigs.

I'll have to unslam Glocks. They are built to practicality. No grooves, lines, indents, fancy serrations, etc. Just pure function. That is what a sidearm is for.

Same contant trigger pull. The natural point of aim is more aggressive than the 1911 orientation but nothing muscle memory can't fix.

I will have to slam these "custom" 1911's though. That gun has been around since...well 1911 and it works. So why polish it over and over and over and over with overpriced nick-nacks? Much like the M4's and all the adorments to make it run right. You can only customize and upgrade a simple design so much before it just becomes bragging rights and see who can spend more on "custom" parts for the 1911.

Ironic that the same people that came up with the KISS principle are the same ones that throw all these aftermarket part into it.

As far as I'm concerned...it don't get more KISS than a Glock.

But not bashing at all. I use what works for me. To each his own, right? ;)

:D Aw, c'mon... They all have their place in the shooting world. Just like anything else, it's an issue of what you use 'em for.

This is starting to sound like a Busse vs. any other cheaper knife conversation both inside and then outside of the Busse forum! :D Personally, I like Glocks, and I like the higher end customized pistols. Really, it all comes down to how you shoot the one's ya got, and why you own them.

...But, I wanna shoot the pistols that lunde's got!!! Especially that Brown SFC 1911. :) That is one pistol that just looks like it'll hit the bulls-eye every time.

I'll happily cosign this.

Hey Ken...when ya gonna invite us all to your place for a Busse family shoot? :D

I carry a G19 at work and its' a very good gun for it's intended use as a combat side-arm. (I did have to get used to having no Safe switch on it, made me feel nervous at the beginning, although I know a Glock is as safe as any other pistol out there)

I prefer my personal HK USP 9x19 mm when target practicing though.

The best results however, I achieve with my Browning BuckMark in .22LR :D

I'd love a 45 ACP Colt-clone, but it's very hard to get a firearm permit overhere in Belgium :grumpy:

What Spyderco is that?

The Walther P5C looks like the old Mauser HSC. I wish I would had purchased one, the HSC, when I had the chance.
Now it's a G-17.:D
