Popular brands you have never owned?

Esse benchmade Ontario
Emerson hinderer crk strider
Off the top of my head. These are the brands I don't own but look at often and just don't pull the trigger.

Spyderco and CRK. I like some but man I just haven't had the motivation to purchase one or the other. In time I guess.

Bark River and Spyderco. Bark River are really my flavor, just never did it. I've got handfuls of Busse's, Swamps, Scrappers, Benchmades, ZT's, ESEE but never got a Bark River. I kinda quit collecting knives. I've never owned CRKT or SOG either, but they just never appealed to me. But Bark River and Spyderco have always intrigued me.

Never had a Busse either, its a good mention but I am not sure its as surprising as hearing someone say they never had a Kershaw or BM...

I agree. Busse is popular among knife people, but if I say that name to a non knife guy, they're going to look at me like an alien.

My buddy called me a couple days ago asking my thoughts on a knife he was looking at. Benchmade Griptilian. He started the conversation asking if I'd heard of Benchmade, my response was yes, and if you're looking for a daily user, the Griptilian or mini version is what you should get.

Despite never having owned a Benchmade, I've handled quite a few. I really do need to get a Griptilian. Awesome knives.

Yeah, I have almost bought a grip about 25 times... lol...

It's amazing how a lot of people who live by the knife and have every means to own one and use one have never heard of most of these brands. My father is a cattle rancher and he will sharpen a blade to nothing every 2 years, usually a Case XXX or something like that. He mentioned that he wanted a fixed blade to pull in and out of a sheath quickly and safely for ear marking calves in a crowded, busy pen and I gave him a Benchmade Snody Activator(the bigger one that's discontinued) with wine wood handles and D2 blade. He loves it's performance but couldn't be less interested in Benchmade or any other modern high performance company. If he ever owns another it will be because I get it for him. Different strokes.

Al Mar
Hinderer
Emerson
Cold Steel
Randall
Busse
Becker

Of those I think I'm least likely to get an Emerson. I'm sure they're fine knives, but they don't appeal to me.

Al Mar, SOG, Emerson, Hinderer, Strider, Bark River (though I've owned a Blackjack made by Bark River), Mora, GEC.

I've never had an interest in Benchmade, something about their designs just seem off to me...

ZT makes alot that speaks to me, but i cant seem to pull the trigger. Eyeing that 0808 though!

Benchmades are kind of a novelty for me since they were the first "high end" knife I was introduced to. My first blades were the Elishewitz Striker and Nimravus. I donated them to the desert, against my will. Same with Strider, but I never owned one.

SOG and Cold Steel; wanted to try out both brands early in my collecting, but have since lost interest.

Hinderer, Emerson, Strider; never thought I would be interested, but now that I have both Emerson and Hinderer ZTs, and have handled a Strider at a gun show, I really would like to try them out (and the sticker shock isn't there anymore).

Get one they are awesome.

I really should. My buddy hates when I ask to use his, when he knows I have 2 blades on me.

Part of me says I like it because I don't have it, and my carry knives do the same job just as well. My fear is I'll get it, then get into a spree buy of Benchmade blades.
