Dyed micarta scales. BK-11 turned out dark brown, BK-2 a dark version of sage green, and the BK-9 a solid brown, which I think really brings out the pattern of the micarta.

Thanks Goose. So many things that can be done with these knives. My biggest gripe is that I want to do different variations on color and possibly try out convexing and blade alterations (jimping, adding choils, etc.), so now I have to go out and buy more

Knife after stripping with homemade micarta scales and modded Kabars.

After the butchering and a quick forced patina.

What was always referred to as babysh*t in my house growing up. French's Yellow :barf:.
It's the only thing I use it for. My hot dogs get dark mustard.

Well I finally put my BK-11 to the ultimate test and it passed with flying colors.
Twice.
