Post your CRK carry knife for today.

Going to put it to work for a bit this morning. I hear the pattern made some concessions for use with gloves, so we shall see if that works for me.

I wonder how easy it would be to deploy with gloves? (Having never held one.) Or do you have to open it, then put your gloves on?

Opens great with work gloves on. I usually wear the thin tradesmen gloves but I have used mine with wells lamont leather as well.
Yeah, it actually is the best gloved knife of its type I've ever used, to be honest. I wasn't expecting that. It really does sorta feel like the design accounted for the gloves, especially the lockbar access to close it.
But I had no issue opening and closing it with gloves on. Here, I'll snap a vid.

Excuse the shaky. Weedeating the acreage always does that to me for about an hour or so. Also, these are crap gloves, my good pair is in the shed, but you get the idea. As long as it is in your hand right, theres not much issue after you get used to it.

edit: does the site hate imgur now? I'll see if I cant make it a gif. Gimme a sec.

Change up! I just found out that this is gong to the mothership along side my daughters small 21 Insingo for engraving and double lugs. They are to be Father / Daughter knives celebrating her leaving the nest!

Figured I better carry it once before it’s gone for a couple months.

That's an awesome gesture. Someday my collection will belong to my daughter. Helluva knife you've got there, bro

Great idea!! Both are great looking knives. If you are already sending it to the mothership, are you going to get it glass blasted? I sent a large 21 back earlier this year for silver double lug and glass blast and I am very pleased with the finish. Not too slick either.

The glass blast is cool, but I actually don’t prefer it. I think on a fancy inlaid model I’d like it better than polished but on a pj user or micarta inlaid user I prefer the regular blast.

That said, if snail trails bother you at all, glass blast is remarkably durable. Stays looking new.

I thought about it but for these two 21s we are staying old school. We both really like how the PJs age.

Yay, I figured out how to post a video! Yeah the Umnumzaan works very well for me with gloves on. Both me and iacchus iacchus are wearing leather gloves which are pretty unwieldly when trying to do something articulate. I believe Reeve put the lockbar tab on it specifically for gloves. The tab has always given me mixed feelings as it sticks out and is a little sharper than I like, however when you're really putting some work in it sure is nice. The other knife i used to have that was absolutely awesome with big gloves on was the ZT MUDD. That bad boy had sealed bearings so you could open and close it smoothly inside a mud puddle.

you not only got imgur to work posting the video, but your gloves fit much better than the pair I posted with! Nice one.

The Insingo is just an excellent everyday blade.
It really is. I find it superior to the clip shape for most of my tasks, but not all. I got rid of my clip and I regret it a little. I occasionally wish I had the belly of the clip for a task. It’s about 80/20 in favor of the Insingo for my uses. I know my next will be a clip, but I sure enjoy the Insingo.

Oh and the swedge! I use the swedge all the time. Mine is fairly sharp compared to others I’ve seen. Super handy.

Haha. Every time I try to post a video anywhere, I have to completely relearn what the hell I'm doing. 😂 The gloves fit good enough for what I do with them, a little long in the thumb though. 👊
