Finally got it’s first snail trail on the picket clip! The rest shouldn’t hurt as much right? ;)
It'll be ok--just breathe deeply and wait for the calm. Of course, this is from the guy whose large Inkosi natural Micarta is as yet unmarked.

I did put my LNIB large StarBenza right in pocket, though, and went right to work with it.

Is it that much better than a 21 or 25?

To me at this exact moment it is better. But we all know how that goes... And it really feels quite different than a 21 or 25.

I wouldn't really say it's "that much better" but it is def different, the ergos and opening and closing is different than a 21 or 25.

The Zaan really feels like a slim heavy duty beast. It's hard to explain but opening and closing it you wouldn't think that it's that heavy duty, but then you put it to use and you say to yourself "huh"
Where you open and close the 25 and you know damn well that you could stab a piece of concrete and go "take that!"
Then you open and close the 21 and you say to yourself "nice" then you don't stab anything because you don't think you should stab such a nice folder.

Since I was gifted the 25 by a fellow member on BF it's been in one of two pockets but always with me. Along with one of my smaller 21s, (I can see how people carry a small and a large, the difference in size is substantial enough to make a difference between using one or the other. I gotta say this too, the extra 1/2 oz. Makes a big difference in how they open, the extra mass on the 25 blade helps it flip out with authority. The extra thickness just makes it that much more hand filling and satisfying to carry and use.

I had a light-duty day today with physical therapy to start, trips to the job and lumber yard doing GC stuff, and a couple trips to the dump in my wife's truck to lose way too much winter accumulation of trash and re-cycling. It was a good day for light-duty carry then, in the sense that I pocketed my large Inkosi natural Micarta that I've managed to keep nice in the year that I've owned it. I've got a few CRKs that I use hard, but this one's still too pretty for that....
