Post your firearms collection!

seanp, I noticed this is the first/only time you've ever posted in the cantina or HI forums. Let's please keep it that way. If you are as adult as you claim you should act like it.

Canadian, I'm a 1985 baby, too! Funny how we both managed to learn some manners in such a short amount of time.

...sean dont be so sore at people you got no control over, only person who makes you do things is you-- so burrs and disgruntlements etc, there really is no need, I dont even know what guy did to you, but your reaction is a bit over the top.

Those are some good words.

I take severe umbrage against someone claiming my nationality without knowing anything about it.

I get really angry about someone presenting themselves as being a member of my nation while being woefully ignorant of it's laws and customs.

But you are right brother. Ain't a damn thing I can do about it.

Sorry, all. Carry on.

 I never said I was mature, or that I would step back from a fight.

Thanks for seeing your way out. Bye-bye!

I'm going to look for some threads about forcing patina so I can do it to my knife and then post new pictures. I've seen people do different designs and stuff. I just want to darken it up a bit.

The method I use is this:

Soak a single paper towel in vinegar or something else of similar acidity. I like apple cider vinegar. Wrap the towel over the blade with just a single layer touching on each side. Smooth it out as flat as possible because any wrinkles will translate to an uneven finish in the patina. Leave it to sit for an hour or two. Unwrap the blade and save the paper towel, you can re-sue it a couple times. Thoroughly rinse the blade and dry. Repeat as necessary, a few times should get you a nice even gray patina. Heating the vinegar also speeds up the process.

I keep considering forcing a patina on one of my blades, but then I think what if I don't like it. What if I want to make it shiny again. I am just too lazy LOL.

Oh, yes, I understand that part. The LAZY part is what is actually keeping me from testing it out. I work hard at finding ways to keep from polishing. I coat almost everything with museum wax unless it is a daily user and those I just do my best to keep up with as I mess them up. Adding a full polish job just to see if I like different finish well. Did I mention I am very very lazy? LOL.

Hmm... So he can still post in my threads...

Seanp please leave my thread and leave me alone. Harassment is not only against the law I'd be willing to bet it's against this forums rules as well.

Am I allowed to post a link to the completed and paid for ebay, it lists the materials used to make my knife and such.

I don't think so. I think you generally get struck by lightening for mentioning the auction sites. I believe that is a Blade Forum rule, not an HI specific rule but I can't say for certain.

The ignore button really does little good. You don't see the ignored post unless others link or respond to it but the ignored can still dance at your party.

I'm gonna go whittle on my mini bowie handle, make it match my micro if it all works out right.

Sweet! I just looked over the Page and materials are 5160 steel, water buffalo horn grip, no mention of what the end cap and finger guard are made of. Posting a link wouldn't help anyways. It says water buffalo leather for the sheath but it looks really thin. I dunno if I'd trust it for long time on my belt without somehow reinforcing it. Paracord wrap maybe?

The buffalo hide is usually stretched pretty thin, it should hold up just fine though. They have been making them like that for a long time.

Please leave me alone. Why are you still addressing comments to me? Do you need to have the last word that bad? Just stop. Stop.

seriously sean, you are the only one acting up here, you need to just consider why you want to do things like this, then address those issues instead of unleashing this angst on us.-- you have blown up the rails of this thread

Could someone please read through my posts and see if I have done anything to warrant the treatment I'm getting and also point me to a moderator or admin who can help me stop this asshole from spamming my thread and harassing me. I'm starting to get mildly annoyed and I just want to be left alone.

1985?

Wow.

And I thought you were just a kid who didn't know any better.

Now you are just pathetic.

It would be appreciated by the rest of us here at BF's, that you participate in the conversation in a constructive manner.

Thank you.

I had the great idea of starting from the end of this thread. I had to go back on page 5 to actually see something :-) uh?

That Ruger revolver + Knife picture looks really good.
