Post your firearms collection!

Yep got all the nepali newspaper off and been drooling on it profusely. Ill try but no good light. Hang on a few! Lemme see what I can do!

What are you doing over here playing with your BB gun. You got that Katana unwrapped yet or WHAT?
Naw.... I had a Daisy BB gun before my Benjamin:D

Glad your out. I see your hospitals must work the same as ours. Wife was in for 6 days. Passed one stone finally on her own, the big one is still in there someplace. It's not a kidney stone but they described it as a Gall Stone even though she had her Gall Bladder out 20 years ago. Nothing happens fast in a hospital that's for sure.
So they schedule a blow up for later or do they think you'll shed that thing on your own?
I better find a gun picture to cheer you up. Hang on.
Here ya go.

Here's probably one of my hands down favorite set of grips I whittle for a friend down in California. Crossed the river a couple years ago. His family sent me back one side and kept one side. One of these days I'm gonna make another set just like em. Even though I don't have a Springer Spaniel.

Those are beauties! The doctor put a Stent in and tomorrow I have to go to the doctor again and see if it's moved and then he's gonna decide if I need to get it blasted or not. I just can't wait until it's over and done with. He's got me on painkillers that make my face itch...

Oh man, that must be the good stuff. Never had nothing that made my face itch before.

Maybe you need to try Shavru's recipe. The diet coke is what would kill me. I prefer Pepsi but can tolerate Coke, but I hate the diet stuff. And drinking 6 of any of them at once, I don't think I could do that. Maybe mix in a little whiskey? Then I'd probably pass out on the 3rd Coke.

I'll let the doctors deal with it since I can't stomach asparagus or diet coke lol... plus he's kinda already started and our government foots the bill :D

Has anyone got any Para-Ordnance pistols? They're a Canadian company that supposedly make really high quality 1911 clones.

JEEBUS! My face is crazy itchy...

I have 3. I don't think they are in Canada anymore though, they moved down here someplace. Florida I think, can't remember.

They still have their Scarborough place. They set up an American hq as well, Para-USA. I think pre 2009 are Canadian made (not sure though)

Apparently they made the first true double stack magazine 1911 style pistol.

Hmm.... I may be wrong about the Scarborough factory...

Wow, just don't scratch. face might come off if they are as good as they sound.

Para makes very nice double stack 1911's unfortunately that makes an already large grip impossibly HUGE for my poor little hands. Hubby had one for a while a P14-45 having 14 .45caliber boooolits (to use a Bawannaism) sure would be a nice feeling but even he had problems with the grip being so wide.

I hadn't heard that they had moved completely. I thought they just opened up a US office so they didn't have to deal with the extra stupid US firearms import laws. Though with Canadian firearms laws for pistols being what they are, maybe they felt their continued sales opportunities weren't very good? so weren't worth having 2 facilities.

Well the Canadian Site redirects to the American one now and there's no mention of Scarborough though wikipedia says the factory is there (though that doesn't necessarily mean it's up to date)

Here's my 14-45 LDA and the 6-45 Companion.

And the 7-45 Limited Addition after I bobtailed the grip. I thought I had a picture of all three together but durned if I can find it.

The 14-45 is actually the gun that got me started making pistol grips. I couldn't find anyone that made aftermarket wood grips so I ended up making them myself. They aren't a lot of fun to make.

Surprisingly even though it is a double stack and holds a weeks worth of booolits it fits my also small hands quite nicely. I carried it for a long time. Officers at work actually bought it for me when I had a brain surgery, (ok who snickered when I said brain?) They thought it would make a good get well gift and it was indeed. It was by my side here at home for 6 months while I lounged around. Back and forth from nightstand to day bed, always close at hand. At purchase time they came with 10 round mags and a coupon to buy high caps (remember Clinton?) for like 100 bucks. (stoopid) but dealer who knew me and sold it to the guys at cost also threw in all 3 13round mags. I was thrilled at that.

Are those the Canadian made ones? A quick Internet search said the Canadian para-ordnance are better than the para USA ones though apparently they stepped up their game lately. Again, Internet said this so I don't know...

Mine are all Canadian (like my wife incidentally). Para really took a plunge reputation wise for awhile but rumor has it they are digging their way back up. I'm not sure what their marketing people were thinking. For awhile you couldn't get a stainless gun at all, many were green and the finish was just horrible. I contacted them several times to find guns for officers and my chief carries one today and told them I didn't want green. No help at all.
One green one which was a great gun but looked like heck with the green all worn off and scratched up. I inquired about getting it refinished and their suggestion was go after market since their own finish was junk.

So much for company pride. I don't think they even make the LDA any more which is sad. They are perfect for folks that like a 1911 but don't like the hammer back all the time.

Hi, guys! Well, I've been busier than hell but I'm finally getting the time to play on the forums again.
I have a couple of guns lying around here somewhere. ;)
I don't think I should post any of the wicked stuff, so here's the one I've been playing with the last few weekends, dialing in loads with all of the leftover powder that would work for her. I use Lapua brass, Fed 210M primers, and Sierra 175MKs.
On a semi-calm day, she'll do 1/2 MOA out to 800 meters, so anything in that range is DEAD! :D

Savage Model 12 BVSS 26" .308, modified and accurized, with a Springfield Gen 3 4-14x56 illuminated scope:

Yes, there IS about 1.5mm of space between that scope cover and the free-floating barrel. :)

Twolfnm So what powders are you finding good matches for those 175MKs? my husband seems to prefer 39-40grains N140 for that bullet in a M14 base rifle. Not sure what a commercial Savage would think of that though.
