Post your Spyder Pics

where'd you get the Tennessee whiskey and cola? and is it any good? as a JD fan my curiousity is piqued by that picture and i'd love to be able to find some.

my latest purchase and some story:

I dont need anymore Delicas (9)....BUUUUUT I'm kind of a sucker for orange. and ive been spoiled with a krein'd zdp delica as my daily cutter and its a beast only needs a touch up every once in a while...and cuts oh so well.

So I ended up ordering an orange flat ground delica along with a flat ground zdp delica and swapped the blades. the reason i say i was nervous was because of the 2 delicas i've taken apart when i get them back together they never seem to work as smooth or I could never get the pivot screw to the right tightness to where the blade doesnt wobble when locked but opens smooth and easy. Researched youtube for ways to dis-assemble and re-assemble the delica and found a way that i find easiest. I got lucky today. My knives came in and I went to work on the swap...and they both came out great. still opens smooth and no wobble. centered blade. very happy.

sorry for the one crappy point and shoot picture my d60 is at nikon for some repairs.

I'm not a big fan of the JD coke... I've tried it from the can, and was not too impressed. I think my issue was that there was too much carbonation and wasn't the typical rye and coke I'm used to and I think I'd much rather mix my own JD and coke... on the rocks, of course :D

On another note, I gotta pick me up an orange Delica.

The JD and cola is available locally pretty much anywhere. We have brandy and cola, rum and cola all pre mixed. I enjoy the JD convenience thereof but still prefer my own mix.

yea i usually like my own mix (little stronger ;)) but i am kinda interested in trying it. i'll have to look around.

i imagine it would be found by the mikes hard lemonade etc?

and to keep on topic:

Thanks, xavierdoc!

I haven't seen those in YEARS. Did some of them come with parachutes?

No, these guys came in packs of either 4, 10, or 28 and could be bought in most toy and department stores in the 80s. They're supposed to be intergalactic wrestlers and were originally based on a Japanese comic book and series of videos called Kinnikuman. The plot and story line from the Japanese toy was never carried over to the US, so we just got a bunch of random pink figures to play with and nothing else. There were a couple of accessories released for them, however.

I think you might be remembering the little plastic paratrooper toys that came either in the gumball machine or blister packs. They were little cartoony-lookin' guys with surprised faces, and they were roughly the size of the MUSCLE line.

Sorry for going off-topic, picture-wise. Here's another Spyder pic:

I was playing around with my camera and my Sage 2 and thought this was a cool picture of an excellent knife.
