I was gonna say Julian! Folks, if you've never seen Julian and have a chance before hitting the Anza Borrego State Park, drive on up. It is this incredible oasis in the clouds, mountains rising over the desert plains.
Yes it is a beautiful place. I've got some more pics of the walk, and a shot of the last from above the top of the mountain, but it seems that now I can't find them. It's nothing but me, the top of the hill, and the desert plain below. I love going up there.
If you go to the last outcrop of the San Jacinto National forest, there is a place called Santa Rosa, and an old cabin. Past that, and I can't quite recall-alto seco?- anyway- big dry- wonderfull ledge of mountain lion terrain.
I miss the desert.
Thank god you got Anza Borrego- though they've probably screwed it up by now.
Yep, Rosa is a good place! Parts of the fire took out some cabins and and houses though...Damn arsonist POS.
Anza Borrego is, for the most part, still nothing but, nothing! Very nice to look out at. One nice place that's closer to the water though, are any of the cliffs along La Jolla were you can see the sunset. When I get a decent working digicam I'll show y'all what the hubbub is about.
It's truely a beautiful state, the sad thing is it's run and inhabited by some of the nations worst lunatics. :barf:
Haha I haven't been to either, but I've seen some nice pics of suicide rock. I have some nice pics from Texas and the Grand Canyon though. Didn't wander around on much, they were stop overs. The mojave would be a nice place, but I'd like to see alot more forest now. Next summer's goal would be Yellowstone!
Hehehe maybe even Reno for obvious reasons, if my travels ever take me there. Time's running out for me though, only 2 more years and I'm done with college, and most likely done with my free time.
Indeed they are Josh, Ragnar has the best selection of Thorshammers of anybody in Vinland. The ones you like in the bottom picture are hand forged in Sweden.
