Thanks a lot guys! The idea of people wanting to PAY for one of these is flattering. I am not doing this to sell any though

Just for fun and practice.
As far as how I did it and the finish I can answer that I think. For the handles I didn't use anything fancy, just a handheld jigsaw clamped upside down. Can't find a blade for the OLD floor standing jigsaw

I just cut a piece of micart in half, drilled ¼ inch holes, then I figured how deep I wanted the shoulders of the fasteners to go and I drilled 5/16 inch. I attached the handle slabs. I used a 40 grit belt to shape and then a 180 belt to finish it a little nicer. I didn't really finish the handle like I wanted but I am not poisoning my entire family and the pups, they don't have respirators
For the blade I am not sure how I would repeat that but I can tell you what I did. While experimenting and trying to help 230 I found some things I liked. Basically I went 40, 80, 120 with zirc belts on the platen until all of the original HEAVY grind marks were gone. Then I used nothing but cork belts. I used 180, 240, 320, 400, 600 and then plain cork. I tried different compounds with these. Going all the way to plain cork did give me an almost perfect mirror finish. I actually went all around a few times until I went right from a mirror polish to a cork 180 with green compound and it gave me this. The pic actually shows what "satin" is there you just have to look hard. In person it is a really cool finish. Hit the light just right and it is a neat satin and the rest of the time it is basically mirror.
For the edge I also tried a lot of different things. What I ended up liking best was to stop with a 3M grinding belt at 320 grit and finished with a leather belt and white compound. Very sharp and polished.
I am really happy how this turned out and feel that anyone can do this. I am a, if you can do it I can do it type guy. This is my new found hobby and it is very relaxing. Thanks again for all the positive input 
