Prayers Have Been Answered GAW -WINNER DRAWN

Excellent news, Mark! We lost a family member last week to a sudden heart attach at age 60, far too early. Glad your family is getting out ahead of that.

I got this stockman from my grandmother around age 10. I abused the hell out if it during high school, then lost it for a while, not realizing it's significance. After she passed several years ago, I set out to find it and after digging through many boxes of old crap, I did. It now holds a prominent spot in my case, so I see it every morning reminding me of her.

mark I'm extremely happy to hear that your mothers surgery went well and I wish her a full recovery. Can't think of anything more frightening than what you all are going through. Best wishes to you all in these difficult times.

The work you did on the Sway Back is outstanding. I'd be proud to carry that one. Can't say I've ever handled a Damascus ivory knife myself.

Here's a pic of a butter and molasses schrade that always reminds me of my grandfather.
 
I'm in, my wife would adore that SBJ so if I win, its hers.
I don't have a picture at the moment, but my great grandfather was carrying an Old Timer 8OT in his pocket when he passed back in 2000. Is has a nice patina and is quite sharp, he took good care of it but used it often.
I am very lucky to have gotten it from my father before he passed last year.
Now the knife reminds me of both of those great men.
 
Best wishes to your Mother, I have a family member who had a similar type of heart operation in the past.

This one reminds me of Grandfathers, fishing and good times. :)

This knife reminds me of my Grandpa because I got it from him but it reminds me of my Mom (his daughter) also. She was the one that bandaged me up after slicing my thumb real bad with it as a kid...then scolded me for carving designs into the top of my dresser!

 
Things like this tend to make you focus on what is really important. Glad she is doing well. Count me in.

Mark, I am so happy to hear your mother is doing better. Prayer is the answer to our troubles.
The true test of our faith is when our prayers my not be answered when or in the manner we want.
I am thankful for the good news. I would be proud to own that SBG, I have admired it many times my friend.
This Old Timer reminds me of my Grandfather, as it belonged to him.

I want to thanks each and everyone of you again for the prayers and well wishes for my family. Mom had internal bleeding and went back into surgery at 3 AM EST. They took care of the problem and she is doing much better.

I am going to jump on Random.Org and pick a winner so that I can ship the knife tomorrow.
