Prayers Needed for G2s Grandson

What a great photo! He's a beautiful child.

Glad to hear he's doing well.

God Bless.

Gary - thanks for the updates; I showed your grandson's photos to my wife & son - brought us all to tears. We're so glad the little fella made it through.

Congratulations - cpr

ps - my son, Elias (7), sends hugs & tickles to Carter. He informed us tonight that Carter can be his little brother if he wants. We told him Carter's pretty happy right where he's at. :)

Thanks guys and I'll pass that along to my daughter and her husband, they'll like
hearing things like that I'm sure!
I just can't wait for him to get even more active of course, we're pushing him
a little early I think and with his bigger brother next to him, it's easy to compare
and that makes things tough, waiting and expecting too much too soon.

Very choked up right now. I have a 1.5 yr old sleeping right now. I hope nothing but the best for you and your family.

Every time I think about it, I also get very choked up, my daughter is so
distraught that Carter doesn't 'look' at her, he always looks away, very
attracted to everything else except the person that is holding him, it is a
little disturbing to see him not look at you. He had a doctors visit the other
day, neurologist, and said he seemed ok, no red flags and for her not to
expect him to do things immediately but to give him time, that's hard when
you have a very active older brother right next to him, it's hard not to compare
when he is right there!

here is a collage I did in Picasa program, it's prety neat, but restricted you have
to keep clicking on it to get the pics arranged sort of how you'd like them to be.
This was taken at the Apple Cheese Festival in Canton PA this past weekend
same morning I took that shot of Carter smiling, you'll see several smiles from
that moment :)

thanks to all of your prayers and good thoughts!

It's natural for us to want our children to be perfect, and they are, each in their own way.
It wasn't that long ago that you would have given anything for that smile on Carter's face, now you have it. Give thanks and enjoy the simple fact he's out of danger.

Thanks for sharing the photos.

Exactly PhilL and we certainly are thankful everyday and each day forward!
Thanks,
G2

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving, had the two grandsons over to babysit
today, the wife held both and I was able to grab this quick shot of the two of them
Carter, the baby, is doing better, time will help, it's just hard when he has an older
brother right next to him all the time to compare and expect him to be doing more
but my daughter is still praying all will turn out ok with more time, we shall see,

and a quick one of just Carter, low light indoors, hate using flash on the kids, so you can
see the focus was on the first eye, but, it'll be ok :)

Thanks again for all of your prayers and good thoughts for Carter,

Just a quick note, Carter is doing somewhat better, his eyes are focusing a little
better and are tracking closer together than before, which helps him see better.
But he's still a ways off, the doc's and nurses think he'll come through this ok
it just takes time, which is very hard on my daughter, his mom and of course on
my wife and I. He has a continuing cold and last night they called 911 as he wasn't
breathing right and had a high temp, at the hospital it read 103 degrees, he came
home late last night and is a bit better today. Here is a photo I took of him at his
brother's 2 year old birthday party today, such a somber look to him, prayers are always
welcome and still needed, thanks in advance!

Thanks for the update.
Prayers sent. He's going to be fine, stay strong G3.

Hi Gary,
I have just saved your last picture as my desktop so I will remember to say a prayer everytime I logon. Good luck and Keep the Faith. The lord has plans for this one.

thanks PhilL and STDK, that is very kind of you! I'll let my daughter know,
it will certainly cheer her up that others are still praying and thinking good
thoughts for Carter!

Gary, if Carter seems distracted sometimes,
he may be listening to other sounds.

The Angel

An angel flew through the midnight sky,
Singing a quiet song;
And the moon and the stars and the clouds in a throng
Hearkened to that holy song.
He sang of the bliss of innocent souls
In the shade of the gardens of Paradise;
He sang of great God, and his praise
Was unbounded.
He carried a young soul in his arms
To this world of sorrow and tears;
The sound of his song remained with that young soul
Without words, but alive.
And for a long time it languished in the world,
Filled with a wonderful longing,
And Earth's boring songs could never replace
Those sounds of heaven it heard.

Much Thanks to you all and Esav that's a wonderful thought and will
share that with my daughter too.

...Gary...I'll be sure to say a prayer every day for that great little guy and for all of his wonderful family. Kids with a difficulty always tear at my heart as they do to many of us here in BF I'm sure. The kids are all special and the people that have them and love them are a kind of special that there is no adequate description for...
