Thats what im worried about too, it might just be a little too big, but i havent held either so its hard to know for sure. Finding the XL with G10 and FFG is easier for me though.

I can find the regular manix2 with flat grind but its FRCP and i can find it with g10 but it is hollow ground (i think, it looks hollow ground anyway)
The answer is to buy one of each, and then swap blades.

Blade swap would be easier. The lanyard tube is flared to hold the g10 on. I think the see through handle manix's don't have as good of steel as the g10 models. If I needed g10 and ffg I would find a sprint for a good price on the exchange.

Swapping handles would be easier no?

Nope. The lightweight Manix2's blade is pinned in. Not easily removable like the G-10 model.

I had one of the lightweight models and it sucks compared to the G-10. Not even close to the same quality. It's carpenter steel BD-1.
I'm a fan of FFG more than saber. But the saber(or hollow) works very well in the G-10 manix2.

Well that bottle of brandy made it just over 24 hours. i feel great and that was a well spent 12 dollars if you ask me. Its honestly not bad especially for the price. I mean its not my beloved crown royal but it cost less than half the price too.

Now to decide clear bacardi rum or svedka vodka.... both are the wife's but she wont mind as long as i dont polish off the bottle, and that wont happen, im about lit now.

Well i sounded dumb then LMAO I have never taken apart a folder before so i wouldnt know.

Hows the hollow grind slicing? do you think the FFG would be better Jonny or do you thing the hollow grind one works fine slicing?

See i love my native5s FFG and G10, plus that pivot bushing is sweet, but i like the size of the manix's more

FFG probably will slice better.
But this hollow grind slices just fine.
And it seems to give the blade a bit more heft.
I don't know man, this is one of the only pocket knives that I haven't been able to find a major flaw.
Well designed and executed and it's heavy enough to feel like quality, but thin enough to ride discreetly and comfortably.

Thanks jonny i seen you answered my question above!!

LMAO my timing sucks :D

It will be a tough choice!!

My only advice would be to stay away from the lightweight. It's cheaper....for a good reason. Lol

Does anyone here have a person in their family that makes garlic buns? My mom makes them once in a while and will put a bag of them together for each of us kids. She uses some sort of bread dough and forms golfball sized buns out of it. Cooks the buns and then tosses them in a kettle that has a garlic, salt, and a bit of oil in it. They are flippin amazing!!

Check with Dubz in the morning... Sounds like something his wife may make. She does the tried and true italian cooking. If she DOESN'T do it already I'm betting she could come up with how to do it.

Yawn. I'm gonna nap for a while. I'm headed out to do some hunting in about 3 hours. Last day of the season. Wish me luck!

Snowing again here pretty good. Luckily I drove my blazer today. My little pickup probably won't move much until spring.
