I do feel better. Taking up running has helped, and I'm actually starting to identify with the sport and the culture.
Tomorrow morning, I'm running a local five-miler. I'm already running 10K distances with decent pace, so I may shoot for a half-marathon in the spring.
Anything above 13 miles, I'm not too interested in. The training and the toll on the body are more than I have time for right now.
That is fantastic, Guyon. It's not easy to do, no matter what the program. I'll hand it to you on even considering a 1/2 marathon, I never shot for anything more than a 10k. Farthest I ever ran was an 8.5 mile leg of a relay race around the famed Lake Winnipesaukee.....that was tough; not one flat spot on the whole leg. Good on ya for getting yourself slimmed down. How long did it take to shed that weight?

I hope you know I'm totally kidding...

Sure, we believe you

Breakfast of champions. Sound like a fishin' breakfast, you know when you're trying to get out of the house at 0-dark-thirty to go fishing and just grab whatever.

During a deployment for Kosovo, I worked for a Lt. Colonel that started each day with a Mountain Dew and two individual-sized bags of lays potato chips. Wiry dude and spastic as all get-out. The JTF Chief of Staff (one-star at the time, now Commandant of the Marine Corps) made a comment that this explained why Jim was so hyper...and yet the morning ritual continued. He snarfed them down during the morning staff meeting...

Nice pic ray!!

Wow that Kuk is bigger than i thought.

That 1311 is also a big one for sure, I had one and sold it, i wish swamp rat made an 11" or 13" blade with micarta. I tried multiple times with that res-c and i just cant get into it, but i wish i could id really be all over the 1111 at 1/4"

About five months. Yesterday was day 135 on MFP, so that's a bit over four months. I've lost 48 pounds during that span. In the three or four weeks before I started MFP and C25K, I lost 5-6 pounds on my own, mainly walking and hiking.

That is impressive. Congratulations on the "new you".

The bird doesn't stand a chance. Even if it were a pterodactyl, it wouldn't be close.:D
Guyon- congrats on the loss! I need to drop around 15-20 but I'm waiting til after the holidays. By New Year's day, it'll probably be 20-25.:thumbdn:
