Premiere and Pre-order of the new blade is NOW!!!

I am usually a great believer in tool steel for knives except in certain situations like kitchen knives ,ocean fishing knives ,knives that will be mirror polished and knives that will be concealed and worn close to the body.

I love small fixed blades with really well made kydex sheaths for EDC. They are much better than folders and so long as they are nice and slim are very easy to conceal. My Swarden with the amazing OST sheath was my favourite for a long time and usually got worn around my neck on a ball chain. It has been bumped by my new love the Spyderco mule team with a simple 550 cord wrap. The thing is they are both 52100(SR101) and the uncoated Mule rusts when you look at it sideways. The Swarden is OK because of the coating but is kind of ugly. I would have preferred a black one to the Sage I got.

The Hairry Carry is obviously the Rat version of my favourite knife. I like the slimness of the skelly but slim G10 would be a lot nicer grip at small cost. The knife is probably a bit big for neck carry though.

Wow did I pick a good day to start looking for some new blades again!!! Landed a Ratmandu to replace the G10 one I had to sell last year, got a Chopweiler in the mail today and now this.........

Holy Rats!!

You guys are making me go broke...

I got my email in, but now I'm waiting on all of these:
-"Embrace the Suck" SJTAC
-SAR5
-Hairy Carry

Question to Eric/those who have already ordered...

When can we anticipate a return email to confirm our order for the new blade?

Good looking knife, but I've managed to resist the temptation. So far...
It's pointless... You will be assimilated...

I preordered 2 of these suckers. They look like real good carry knife. It will share some carry time with my Game wardens.

Just when I thought the coast was clear---Wham! Blind sided! LOL Email sent. Now to wait 2 weeks...eer 4 weeks.

What a great looking knife. I am a bit surprised at the steel though. I like ATS 34 so I should like the US version but I expected something a bit more sexy. There is nothing wrong with a good mid grade stainless though and in many ways they make a better EDC than the high end stainless because they take a better polish and a sharper edge. Some of them have more chromium although not this one.

What really makes a knife like this work really well is a first rate sheath. It will be a bit big for neck wear but will still make a great pocket knife.

A stainless swarden would be nifty especially with very thin black g10 scales and a polish.

I'd like it if was in SR101, but uncoated it'd be more prone to rusting which is another reason we're probably seeing the satin finished 154
