Probably because, if I interpret Dan's posts correctly, Jerry bought tons and tons of it.

Like Mac, I'm interested in knowing how Jerry's heat treat is going to affect it. Has he turned ordinary 154CM into something as special as the rest of his alloys or is it just ordinary 154CM with a Swamp Rat logo stamped on it?

I'm sure its standard 154cm. if it was a proprietary blend or modification of the steel, they would capitalize on it and call it something different. I would assume that what swamp rat does with the 154cm is similar to what they did with their d2 blades - heat treated it as hard as possible while maintaining as much toughness as possible.

You'd have to contact the plastic-benders. David Brown and Grandsuave are 2 that I'm pretty sure have knives to bend around. Probably Steelnut too.

There are plenty out there, dodger. They appeared to be awesome but the aftermarket response was soft at-best. I didn't understand that. I think they are great little blades.
