Looks like the Survive! Team is giving us all an early Christmas present. Presage is open on the 5.1 fo daughter livery after all the preorders have been filled. Get 'me while they're hot!
 
Boom!! Damn, if there are any left friday I might be able to jump on in, otherwise I'll have to wait, happy hunting guys!
 
Heck of a first post! Thanks for this notice. There are a lot of additions to the site, even if they're not all live yet. I guess that's what I get for not checking the site today!
 
That's awesome. Wish my cash wasn't already spoken for. A new piece of 3v in my stocking would be superb.

Dumb question, but how long are these going to be available for sale? I've been wanting to pick up a Survive! knife for a while now, but between a lack of funds and the knives being unavailable for purchase I figured I'd just hold off for a bit. I didn't get in on the pre-sale and I know some people have been waiting for months to get theirs. And there's some new model or redesign of the line? I haven't been following the developments all that closely so I'd appreciate it if someone could fill me in.

Basically, I'm looking at picking up a GSO 5.1 in 3V. When would be the best time to place an order? I'm in no real rush but if they're going to be unavailable in the near future I may as well pull the trigger now.

This is from the Survive! site directly under the new 5.1's listing. You should be ok either way but if you order now, you might get it around Christmas time.

**Happy Holidays! A limited number of GSO-5.1s are available now. Those will be delivered in a few weeks, after the existing preorders have shipped. We are planning to have all GSO-5.1 orders shipped in time for Christmas. The GSO-5.1 will be in stock for regular ordering after the new year.**
 
So I should be alright if I hold off for a few weeks? That would give me some time to scrape the cash together and figure out exactly how I want to customize it.
 
Hurray! A 5.1 will be mine in a few weeks time! It's the knife I have been waiting for!

I would think so. They put out a great Newsletter every month and they update their website a lot so you might want to sign up for their email notifications.

I got myself the camo canvas too. Couldn't decide between camo or green.

As for sheath, I went with OD since I have FDE for the 4.1 and Coyote for the 7/7. Maybe I should have them all in uniform colors but I am not sure myself.
