https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
There hasn't been an announcement since we haven't officially announced that the GSO-5.1s are even in stock.
We are moving away from the ferro notches because of how time consuming they have become, and because they really aren't necessary anymore. The fit and finish on these new blades is so tight that if anything is a hair off the ferro notch won't look perfectly squared off. It may sound silly to some users, but it is something we heard a lot about, in relation to the laser lines of the past. They have to be done very carefully, taking Guy away from production for longer.
For the bow drill divots, we are working on a couple ideas for replacing those with better options. The divot is designed as a just in case sort of thing. They don't hold up through too many uses and we have seen a few get burned through completely.
Part of the plan we are working on includes the addition of a new "Series" where more options will be available. Things like ferro rods or 90 degree spines, brass bow drill divots, custom engraving...
Disclaimers:
1: We are still working on the details
2: They are going to cost a bit more, depending on how customized you go
3: This won't be available until preorders have all been fulfilled, at least. Right now our focus is on production and being as efficient as possible.

I was glad to see your order go through. I remembered you saying you had to wait until Fri but I knew they would go quickly once the newsletter went out. I can't help with the wife part.

Sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness rather than permission![]()
What does this say about us as husbands???We seriously typed that at almost the exact same time!
Whoa, hope you keep recovering. Must feel good to be home.I just got released from the hospital. I ran home and just grabbed a 5.1. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get my iphone to work from my room last night and this morning. I was afraid I was going to miss out.I have pneumonia.
