No need to "promote" sales, they go quickly. I was simply astonished by the "haters" for no valid reason. As blade fans, I am disappointed in the interest here for the true art of a serious knife for serious use. It is understood that the price of Mad Dogs prohibits many. Kevin McClung, "Mad Dog" does not even own his own knives. This is a supply and demand issue.. demand being the point. As an art & function, true blade enthusiast appreciate the product. There are many other places to spend time conversing with real users. Not to say that Blade Forum's posters are not knife users, but there is certainly a lack of interest in true custom knife making. Much silliness here with haters and uniformed trash talkers. I, the CEO of VIM, joined here thinking it was a true quality knife enthusiast site and looking forward to feedback on not just Mad Dogs, but other popular blades. 90% of this has been silly uninformed hater talk and accusations for no apparent reason; totally unprovoked. Therefore, over and out.

Are we seriously expected to believe this sob story attempt? "Poor Kevin, Mr. All American, just trying to raise five kids (good lord) and he gave all his personal Mad Dog knives away to the troops! It's all about the troops! He doesn't even have any of his own knives!"

Really? I mean, this is essentially a "How to gull the suckers" play by play. Mention of America? Check. Pro-Troops mention? Check. Family mention? Check, because won't you think of those poor five little kids? Mention of the term "haters" used as label for people who think that paying thousands of dollars for knives that aren't worth thousands of dollars? Check.

VIM, here's what I think. I think you've padded the prices of Kevin's knives all to hell, and thought you'd come in here to dry to drum up business because you're desperately trying to move those overpriced knives so that you can make back whatever money you may have spent, paying "Mad Dog" McClung for the use of his name in your advertising materials.

The fact, not me being a "hater", but the FACT of the matter is that there are countless other makers in the marketspace on this Board who will make you a knife for about a tenth of the cost, which will be as strong, and made of the same materials, as any Mad Dog your company is trying to sell. That's a fact.

So, why do you think people would pay so much for McClungs VIM-licensed knives? Because of his name? Does his name imbue the knife with magical lightsaber-level cutting ability?

I think we all know the answer. Good luck recouping the money your company has spent on an absurd product.
