Hmm, think I'm getting warmer...

Then again, as I was 'turning stones over', I might've slipped and bumped my head on one of them. :confused:

That certainly is a patriotic horse

My thread has officially gone into derail mode!!! :eek::D:D:barf:

OK - here is a candidate for the GAW - a really nice stag on this 1980's stockman. It is a SS model and has hardly ever been used and likely will not see any use as long as I own it, because I do not carry the stockmans often. I would love to see it go to a home where it might actually be an EDC, to live a proud life. It might be the second or third prize in the GAW. Tell me what you think? 2nd place? 3rd place? or find something else? :confused:

Let me know what you think. My skin is tough tonight! :D

Looks like a fine candidate indeed sir! I don't see any problem with that being first place!

I think that's a very very fine looking knife sir, I can't think of any reason someone would not be appreciative of that !!!

Nice one! ;)

Another picture from my homeland (Latin sailboats in Stintino):

WOW - even nicer thawk - this one is my pick - I like the others a lot - but - whatever is in the foreground left of the wider version keeps pulling my eye toward it. :thumbup::):confused:

Thank you Pistons and Gary for the feedback - sorry is not necessary Pistons - I am having fun. :D

When I use to travel a lot, I liked taking photos in Miniature mode, makes things look like it's a model and not real life ;)

Some shots coming into the Elmira/Corning NY airport;

and a shot at Philly airport, one stop before flying home;

That shot of the buses looks like its from the set of that old show Thunderbirds . ( did you guys get that in the USA ? )
:thumbup:

Ken

thanks and it is cool, it's a setting within the camera, you can narrow the area to enhance what you are doing, here's a few more shots using that mode;

and a shot at Worlds End park south of where I live, nice place

Ken

Not sure Ken, most places I've lived we never had cable just the few main networks and I don't recall that.

And as a side note, it wasn't easy getting those shots through the windows of the airplane, they are not the cleanest things in the world!!! but it didn't do too bad.

Like some here I also find it difficult to pick just one favorite. The first GEC knife I purchased was a rust red single spear with a long pull nick. It was my gateway knife into new traditionals. The second was the 57 half whit in Bocote. Of the two I've only carried the 57. I still have the original 15 and many others on that frame. I've come to really like the clip main with long pulls. So here I present my current favorite 15. (It's wingman is quite awesome too!)

My hometown Pittsburgh was again named the most livable city by the Economist. Here's a few pics.
First swiped from a friends Facebook page. A true classic shot of the city.

From the FB page of a local news station.

Another FB friend swipe. That's the one and only Tony Hawk breaking in our newest skate park.

And then this one time I saw a duck down by the river so I decided to take some pics.

I have never heard of such a mode - is that a setting on your camera - kind of cool.??

It is also referred to as a "tilt shift" effect.

I'm going to go crazy looking for subliminal clues and hints in all 9 pages of this thread now. Going to have visions of three greasy yet patriotic horses...swaybacks? Hmm. Fun thread!

Ahh yes - tilt shift - very familiar with that - I guess someone felt the need to change the name! :cool:

Patriotic swaybacks - Hmm. :eek:;):D

Oh baby! If this is between Second and Third, I can't wait to see what First is...
Personally I love the Stockman pattern and you don't see stag on them often: it's perfect. I have also found that a nice knife given to you is carried far more than one purchased! I'd carry it often if I won it, but then again: I believe the Stockman pattern is perfect...
