What do you folks think of Pro-Tech knives and their products? For those of you that like the brand which model do you like most?

Very good product. Some of the hardest snapping autos on the market. Wish they would make more brend 3's!

My favorites are the doru, brend 1 and 3, and the don. TR line is nice but don't speak to me. I will own an archangel one day.

I highly recommend Pro-Tech. I have a few Pro-Tech autos and they are very well made. I have a Brend 2, a Brend 3, and a Monaco. I like the Brend 2 the best, but it is on the small side. The Brend 3 feels like a pistol going off in your hand when you press the button.

great company, I live a mile down the street from them :-)
my son has several Pro Techs and he is a real fan.
his favorite is a Harkins D/A

The only Pro-Tech I own is a CA legal Runt. Excellent workmanship. I would definitely recommend Pro-Tech autos. This little knife with the sub(?)-2" blade has extremely strong action. I've had mine for maybe 13 or 14 years, though admittedly I rarely use it.

I wish that CA would legalize autos like some other states are doing. There are some more, larger Pro-Techs I'd like to have, but won't bother because they're illegal to carry.

They make excellent products. I personally own a Runt and it has great craftsmanship for such a small knife. And they are priced well. I'd be confident in purchasing any protech and plan on grabbing a Pro-Tech/Strider collaboration auto.

Currently own a Runt, Stinger, Godfather and Dark Angel. All quality knives, and worth the price.

I especially like my Godfather. It's a black handled, black bladed beauty with carbon fiber handle slabs, and a Mother of Pearl button. Sheesh! It's sexy!

The Dark Angel is a little lacking in the practicality aspect, but it sure is fun to fire! It's mainly a safe queen, at the moment. The others see carry on special occasions. The Godfather is my Going to Weddings or any event where I need to wear a tie, knife.

Protech is high quality through and through. They have some of the cleanest grinds ive seen on production knives.

You can tell by the previous posters that their autos receive high praise which in my opinion is well deserved.

My only Protech currently is a TR-3 Integrity. I woud put it right up there with the other TI frame locks ive had.
They have the quality and diversity to really make a dent in the manual market if they choose to go that route. Wish they would.

And thanks for the thread. For as much as people like them they dont come up outside the Auto forum too often.

Protechs are great knives. I had a tr3 manual, it was quite nice. My brother has had a few of their autos and now has that tr3^. All solid knives with some of the best blade grinds out there.

Tried a bunch and I've owned a TR-3, Brend 3 and currently carry a Magic BR-1.

Nobody does side openers better, IMO. The new bolster release actually hits harder than the plunge lock models I've owned or handled, it's quickly becoming one of my all time favorites.

I picked up my first ProTech last month. I went with a TR3 Auto (Bead blasted). It was actually my first step into the world of Autos. The fit and finish is impeccable. The blade and handle finish is beautifully done and the centering was absolutely perfect!

I think they're the best autos. TR-4 and Godfather for me.....

(I lost Microtech about the time they came out with that DOC.)

Have owned autos from Benchmade Gerber and Protech and unquestionably the best construction and machine work in that price point although the Benchmades are not far behind Protechs are fantastic very happy the two I bought

Dave is a really good guy and works hard for his reputation. I love Protech stuff. My favorite is the TR-3 and TR-4.

Think we can persuade him for another run of brend 3 and dorus? Been waiting for ages for a tuxedo satin bladed 3. Lol

I have considered buying a protech many times. I originally liked the brend auto, I believe I would prefer the medium sized one.

There are also some godfather models that I really like. Nothing really elaborate like brain coral or anything, more like just plain
tan aluminum handles.

This one has been on my wishlist at Blade HQ for quite some time. Not sure when I'll actually pull the trigger though. Best of luck.
