Problem with Knifemaker

Thinking about it further; the maker in question does need to be outted to the mods. This person may have damaged other people's sales with similar behavior, and the information just may never have come to light. Makers have a unique position in this forum and I could see a member not reporting this type of behavior for fear of being piled upon by fans of the offending maker.
 
Hey Andy, don't worry about it. Whoever it is is just jealous of your success. You are at the top of your game with a good following. Just remember, what goes around comes around. Keep doing what you are doing.

ive had one also in the past little while.....(and ive only been making knives for like 3 months full time)
 
Send Spark a message in TECH SUPPORT. Give him the details and link this thread, the ones that were involved on the EXCHANGE, and a copy of the email. Spark can deal with it ,then.

Sorry to hear this Andy. As others have stated contacting Spark or a SuperMod about this issue seems like a good course of action.

But scalping sales is B.S. worse than brown baggin at shows, AND considering your relationship with B.F. as a paying member with a sub forum based on your knives, mods should ban him on principle, i guess ill have to search out the june post. Should you consider trademarking your bullseye pin, if you designed/constructed it?
 
I'm not always a class act guys. During the first incident with this fellow, I lost it. I shouldn't have let it get to me. I battle my temper. Its a weakness. Before I had knifemaking to pour passion into, it was worse.
 
I agree with Nathan. Continue to do what you do and how you want to do it. I certainly don't believe he will take any of your business. It's hard to understand. Strange things happen to many of this especially will the more contact you have with others. Frank.
 
Don't really have anything to say that hasn't been said about your OP. But that "Spalted Steel" is pretty awesome. Don't let people with moronic behaviors bother you.
 
Plan old BS. None of his business unless asked. The south end of a north bound mule comes to mind.

One good thing, is the few times I've checked this thread today on coffee breaks, you've had about half the board looking at it, add to that the gracious way you handled it, and I'd say it's adding up to some more good press for 'ya buddy. :)

FWIW- I think you have to heat the steel up and hammer on it to get a Js stamp. ;) :p :D Just mess'n with ya Andy, you know I dig your stuff! :cool: :thumbup: :)

Before I started making, I was very quick to jump on anybody's butt. (Didn't matter if they needed it or not) I finally found something that I could really focus on. My kids tell me that I have mellowed out so much in the past few years. They just don't understand.

I know that aging takes care of a lot of daily frustrations, but by focusing on making the best knife that I can, I no longer worry about the small sh*t. Now, I only want to commit mayhem when ........... Oh, never mind....... Almost every day, but its still better than it once was.

Life is short my friend. Enjoy each moment and don't let the occasional potholes in the road of life cause a detour on your destination.

I he's using this forum to track your sales and then interfere, then that definitely strikes me as a misuse of Bladeforums. Definitely let Sparks know.

Hmmm, I just figured out who it really was. I'm guessing the next time he logs onto the forums he's going to wish he had left well enough alone.
