I also hope ssgwhite has not sent that $107 back to Ryan posey. He still has my $150 and is not responding back to emails. I have sent him a pm on this but maybe he will see this sooner

FWIW Kyle- If I were party to this situation, & I had $107 of this thief's $$$, I would absolutely hold on to it, & it would be sent your way, if Mr. POSER, didn't make you whole! Just my opinion.

Absolutely that $107 should go to him. I would let the OP take his cut for funds lost with posey and gave kyle the rest if he doesnt get his money back. 100% justified.

What really steams me is that this turd watched this whole thing go down as he was scamming another member here! with the same knife no less...

I sincerely apologize but I already refunded his money.

There's no need to apologize, ssgwhite. Who could've predicted that another member (Kyle), would coming out of left field...especially Ryan Posey came on here & finally responded.

Unfortunately due to his higher feedback I thought I could trust him and did pay via gift. Now I remember why you trust nobody...this sucks

Not trying to be mean, but that is a very stupid thing you did. and that other people always do. There is a reason why the forum rules warn against this. For the seemingly many of you that have not read it here is the link (yet again):
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/announcement.php?f=699&a=98

Here is the specific quote under the section for buyers:
8. Warning: You as a buyer are responsible for using Paypal as it was intended, according to their Terms of Service. Using the "Gift" option revokes any buyer protection you may have if something goes wrong and makes it easier to get scammed. Be smart and protect yourself, if you use gift and get scammed don't come crying to us about it as you've already been advised.

Here is a 3 year old sticky in many of the forums here, again it goes unread. People are either lazy, careless, or possibly both and more.

I don't know what to say in a situation like this. I'm at a loss. People don't do a damn bit of research, they don't look out for themselves. They want to save someone a few bucks and for what?
You guys need to start writing to https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/investigations/mailfraud/mailfraud.aspx
Mail fraud is a federal offense. If you do nothing, he wins. He is committing fraud and is using the USPS as a tool to complete the deceptive transactions. You owe it to yourselves to fight for your property. I'm pretty sure no one gave you the items in question and they are not illegal to buy, sell, or own. Get on the ball guys, no one is going to do this for you.

Please, Please everyone settle down. Although it would make for a crazy story no doubt that I put on a grand scheme to Scam two people with one stone, this couldn't be farther from the truth.

First Off Kyle.....

No worries, I do have 2 Slysz Bowies and I have no intention of ripping you off. Sending you an e-mail now in fact (and feel free to make it public should you so chose).

Second, My response to ssgwhite and the ongoings as of late.....

The facts:

*After much back and forth, we come to an agreement on $107 + the knife for his knife
*We both pledge to ship the same day
*I send the money $107 Monday morning to him
*He changes the agreement and now says $107 gift
*So I say “ok” and send a few more dollars via gift
*I head down to the post office around 10:00am and mail the package w/ tracking number I sent him earlier
*During lunch break or so that day I ask if he has also sent his knife out as we agreed upon and has tracking numbers please
*Later in the day I receive a message saying “there is no movement of the package”
*So I think OK, no worries, movement will show up soon and he will ship out the knife that day - Nope
*The next day comes and I send a message asking if he shipped the knife yet and has tracking numbers for me. He responds with the “address wasn’t correct”, so I say ok no problem but quietly I am really bummed as we agreed to ship the same day
*The next day arrives and I ask if he shipped yet and has a tracking number. He responds with something along the lines of sorry, my wife has been in the hospital and just had our son and that is the reason for the delay.
*I am like wow, but Ok, life happens, Congrats . At this point all I can do is have faith and trust in the process that ssghwite will keep his word.
*Days pass and ssghwite receives box w/note
*He then sends me an email
*3 hours pass and this thread is created
*3.5 hours pass and I receive his email and respond (sorry I do not have a smartphone nor can always get internet access every 2 hours to check e-mail)
*Hours pass and I receive email with the following contents “FU*K NO”
*ssghwite sends e-mail saying something to the matter of all communication should now be done only on Bladeforums
*my response - Sorry, you initially gave me your e-mail to work out this trade deal and we now have 50+ messages on file back and forth

For all I can say, the reason he got “spooked” and had the knife re-routed is because either there was never anything in the box to begin with or the knife was not up to par with how it was listed in the description. I believe he got spooked under all the publics eyes that had I actually received and inspected the package, it would have shown deception on his part. The only difference is when I get “spooked” and impulsively sent the note w/box it is viewed as criminal behavior. People are claiming I tried to steal his knife. Yet when he does something as a result of getting “spooked” and also breaks our original agreement multiple times, it is seen by some as an achievement. Funny how that plays out. Yet we both have about the same amount of equally positive and respectful feedback.

To ssgwhite I say this:

Anthony, we could have done the deal without a doubt. In fact I was the one willing to overlook all the haggling over prices, all the delays and excuses day after day after day and I was willing to overlook the unbelievable premature creation of a ridiculous, pre-maturely accusatory thread. I was willing to do this to the very end, up until today in fact to honor our trade agreement in what I had thought was beneficial to us both. You still can’t understand where I was coming from with the note even though you acknowledge we both felt somewhat uneasy and cautious from the start. Judging from your semi-automatic or automatic rifle-by-the-bed Avatar, you could even be more untrusting of others or paranoid than I. Whether you admit it or not, you got “spooked” also and when you created this thread you shut down all possibilities it seems of honoring the trade till the end. Just as I will never know your true intentions, whether not there was actually anything in your package (because I never had a chance to receive it or inspect it), you also will never know if I would have honored my last part of the agreement and sent you the Slysz. The only difference is I sent you $107 first as you asked, I trusted you when you said you would ship the same day as me. I trusted you when you said you would ship the next day. I overlooked the fact you said you need to see “movement” before shipping mine. I then put faith in the process that, you would receive my note, be a semi-understanding person and see this through. Upon receiving the package with the note, you however, abandoned trust in the process and in me, no less than three hours. Your actions lead me to believe you thought I was out to steal your knife yet you never once accused me of it verbally. Anthony, if I had wanted to steal your knife I would have shipped an empty box without any note and made it look tampered with to make it look like the post office had something to do with it. I would have not kept in communication with your or answered any emails and I would have certainly not visited nor answered this thread. Seriously! Come on now. Later on you argued the value of the package that you had much more to loose than me. You even lied about the value as I have the shipping receipt you sent w/tracking numbers that indicate the knife was insured for $325 and not $525. Then the business about not having my correct address to ship as an excuse not to ship that day or the next? Serious? A confirmed address shows up on Paypal regardless. Even so, we were in communication over the weekend 2 days prior to Monday when I sent you the cash. You knew we would be shipping soon yet you never communicated any instance whatsoever that my there was a problem with my address. The crazy thing is, one of our initial emails going back and forth about the trade deal you supplied me yours already with the expectation of payment.

I do not believe I am without fault nor make the claim that one of my actions was not possibly the best way and as a result only added to the overcautiousness of the whole trade. I do claim responsibility in it for my part.
In the end we both can learn valuable lessons from this but please understand this trade being undone and it not be seen until completion is by your initiation and yours alone.

Thank you

Damn........... You still don't think that you were dead wrong by sending an empty box?!?!

YOU SENT AN EMPTY F'N BOX. You have no leg to stand on. Any other wrongdoing etc. is far outweighed by the simple fact that you sent the man an empty box. Understand?

after reading the last email (assuming it was not altered) i think both of you were equally shady in this deal. i think op broke agreement 1st, then posey responded poorly. both of you should have walked away once the deal started going sideways. i personally don't think the op should have ran to his computer and tattled here the minute he received the box with the note. he's obviously still in contact with posey and has not denied breaking shipping agreement 1st. i feel everyone needs to chill and let this sort out before getting so worked up and attacking this member. there's a big difference between sending an empty box with a note because the other party hadn't sent his knife yet and sending an empty box with no intention of sending the knife. peace

Please, Please everyone settle down. Although it would make for a crazy story no doubt that I put on a grand scheme to Scam two people with one stone, this couldn't be farther from the truth.

Ssgwhite has been dealt with. It would seem that you like to deflect from the topic at hand. ssgwhite/Anthony has made his decision; at worst you were completely wrong and had a failed scam, at best you both had a misunderstanding that was made worse by your hidden actions of sending an empty box. I've had a miscommunication or two on my part here, but I always try to own up to my part of the confusion find a way to make it right. I really believe that if everyone is honest and forthcoming with trades and even sales here that you can come to an honorable agreement and keep all parties involved satisfied.

So instead of diverting to the old news, not that you necessarily owe the rest of us an explanation but how about you address Kyle here instead of giving him the option to make your email public (where you may or may not be able to argue details in the future). If you really intend on making this right, just say what you have to say and do what you say, admit your mistake and worry about what can be done to make it right for all parties, and if both parties aren't satisfied then do the honorable thing and refund and ship back.

Best of luck kyle,
-Nick

Seems psychopathic in nature. Master manipulator.

So if both boxes would have been shipped the same day, as agreed, he still would have gotten the note instead of the knife, no?

First Off Kyle.....

No worries, I do have 2 Slysz Bowies and I have no intention of ripping you off. Sending you an e-mail now in fact (and feel free to make it public should you so chose).

FYI: I got an email from Ryan saying he will send back the $150 "within the next day or 2" and either return my skyline or sell it and send me the cash. I have told him I would like $220 cash back via paypal which is the amount we agreed the skyline + cash was worth.

So he does NOT have 2 bowies. I'm not shocked. I guess he's scrambling to get his sorry tail feathers out of the fire. I, for one, say once this is all cleared up - *SPLAT*.
