Problems with UrFrndlyNebrhoodS AKA Ryan Posey

So I'll throw this out as I'm truly a bit surprised and disturbed by the tenor and tone of a number of the responses to this thread. I completely understand Ryan Posey....or whatever his name is......committed a grave error in sending an empty box and then throwing up a wall of text to justify his behavior......that is beyond the pale. However, can someone please explain how the name-calling and anger helps this situation....even one bit?? I think we all need to calm down, take a step back and let the OP/Posey/Mods work through this......just my two cents.

I noticed that the victims kept their cool and are hoping to be made whole. Too many bystanders are venting. Discussion is good, and leads to sharing ideas, like USPS intercept. But constantly re-quoting long posts can make it harder to follow what, if anything, is really going on.

Think twice, post once.

Possibly the most cogent post out of the 222.

Think once, don't post.

Just my 2 cents, but I sat in on a seminar given by postal inspectors for the mailroom in my building, for my agency. Very informative, I would definitely keep them in mind if things do not pan out.

Update:

To Kyle…..I replied to your email and gave you my word, even though it doesn’t seem like someone’s word or feedback is worth anything these days anymore. Thank’s for your understanding

To general response to the public and BF community:

I think what is most disturbing is the nature and content, the hateful, accusatory rhetoric being so quickly and readily presented post after post by onlookers who have not been directly involved from the very beginning in full conversation with both parties involved. The only thing I can say is Bravo to those who read this thread and have not posted a one side vs. other side comment and even more applaudable are those who had the courage to post a neutral comment. I believe those people have been weighing the facts and actively forming conclusions based on logic.

The facts remain:

Anthony and I both have equal amount of positive feedback so neither person’s word is more valid than the others

Our trade deal involved equal agreed upon $$ values so both had the same to risk/ loose

No one can prove without a shadow of doubt I intended to steal his knife

No one can prove without a shadow of a doubt he actually sent me A knife, let alone THE knife as described

His knife never even came into my possession once and he had my money over a week’s time

I made my intentions known by including an overcautious, preventative courtesy note

We both broke the original trade agreement terms in some way, shape, form

I was willing to rectify, honor trade agreement till the very end, he was not

A lot of people seem to be so caught up on this courtesy note in the box. Had I been in the situation again, I would no doubt do so in a heartbeat 1000 times over if I felt alarmed at one point the other party would not hold up to their end of the agreement. I would much rather deal with the criticism and condemnation of my peers than risk loosing $365 in value on a trade deal with no recourse on my side. Let’s see, be name called and accused or loose $357? Hmmm. Can one imagine IF I had sent my knife instead of the note, waited 2 days to receive his shipment notification? He then keeps my $107+ and sends me a $30 valued knife or and contacts the Post Office with an intercept and keeps my knife. Sorry, it is an outcome I would not be willing to live with. To those who have not had the pleasure of trade deal communications with ssghwhite and still put 100% trust and wouldn’t mind risk loosing $357, good on you. Trade on

To ssghwhite:

Anthony, I harbor no ill will nor excess blame toward you for the deal not being completed. In fact, even though you created the thread it was never you who outrightly accused me of stealing your knife (though you obviously felt that way by actions of the postal intercept), but many others. You never even said anything disrespectful or attacking in nature. I also thank you for the prompt refund. After reading many posts to the nature of “ keep his money for your trouble or draw it out and make him wait” I had concerns whether or not I would even get my money back or in any timely manner. But you showed the person you are. As far as sending me the knife goes. Who knows? I can’t say for certain you upheld your end of the agreement as your knife never reached my hands and I was never afforded the opportunity to inspect it, verify it. Only you know the truth of this. I wish you the best in your future trade dealings but as for me and mine, it is over starting yesterday.

Sincerely,

I have also sent a second email demanding my $150 back NOW and not "in a couple days" as he said in email. He dosen't seem to understand it is MY money, as he never even sent out a knife to me in the first place.

unfortunately it's not your money, you sent it to him as a gift. that was you scamming paypal and in return you may have gotten screwed.

i haven't checked this sinse my last post but damn, this has turned into a witch hunt. let the peices fall where they may. sounds like the 1st deal is finished (w/ssgwhite) and this one is still mid stream. i'd say wait till this new deal gets sorted out but i'm sure the super drama queens will have lots to bitch about.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

You're just spewing out nonsense, stop.

In your own words (from earlier):

*After much back and forth, we come to an agreement on $107 + the knife for his knife
*We both pledge to ship the same day
*I send the money $107 Monday morning to him
*He changes the agreement and now says $107 gift
*So I say “ok” and send a few more dollars via gift
*I head down to the post office around 10:00am and mail the package w/ tracking number I sent him earlier

That's the end of the story.

Sincerely,

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that this was the Minority Report universe where it's acceptable to take action in response to something that hadn't actually happened. I mean, you're actually attempting to claim that you swindled the guy (by sending him an empty box) only because you somehow were suddenly afraid that he was going to swindle you. This still makes it look like you're trying to weasel your way out of this situation, just like you were doing in your other thread where you kept acting like you couldn't understand why everyone was mad at you for selling a busted frankenSebenza as "new". Can't wait until you're banned.

Lunchbreak update/response:

To ssgwhite,

Anthony, dude, really? After everything is said and done, now you wish to bring up bits and pieces of our whole conversation? The note you copied and pasted was one I initially sent with accidentally missing the last digit. Yep, everything else was the same. A simple error, so forgive me. You have many yourself to which I already pointed out. If you are going to start copying and pasting bits and pieces of our whole conversation from day one, I would be more than happy to do the same and post the whole 60+messages back and forth from day one. I highly doubt everyone wishes to sift through them all. Even if they did, what would that accomplish? Nonetheless, the deal is done (something you should be happy about). Like I said, I have no ill will and wish you the best going forward. Hopefully we can both take something from this as well as anyone else viewing this thread and wishing to enter into a trade deal.

cheers

If it were said and done you wouldn't post your attempts at discrediting me. I just post the pertinent parts that prove what you're accusing me of is not as you explain it. I hope to actually be able to further take part in the forums and equipment exchange. Hopefully people will see that I did in fact hold up my end of the deal as much as your mistakes would allow. I've already offered the full email traffic to the moderators; I have nothing to hide in our transaction.

Have you refunded Kyle back his money? If not, why? Just get it done and over with so this can be closed. I for one would still buy from you Ryan. Why hang yourself like this? Get these botched trades over and done with and move on. You still have a chance.;)
