Update:
To Kyle
..I replied to your email and gave you my word, even though it doesnt seem like someones word or feedback is worth anything these days anymore. Thanks for your understanding
To general response to the public and BF community:
I think what is most disturbing is the nature and content, the hateful, accusatory rhetoric being so quickly and readily presented post after post by onlookers who have not been directly involved from the very beginning in full conversation with both parties involved. The only thing I can say is Bravo to those who read this thread and have not posted a one side vs. other side comment and even more applaudable are those who had the courage to post a neutral comment. I believe those people have been weighing the facts and actively forming conclusions based on logic.
The facts remain:
Anthony and I both have equal amount of positive feedback so neither persons word is more valid than the others
Our trade deal involved equal agreed upon $$ values so both had the same to risk/ loose
No one can prove without a shadow of doubt I intended to steal his knife
No one can prove without a shadow of a doubt he actually sent me A knife, let alone THE knife as described
His knife never even came into my possession once and he had my money over a weeks time
I made my intentions known by including an overcautious, preventative courtesy note
We both broke the original trade agreement terms in some way, shape, form
I was willing to rectify, honor trade agreement till the very end, he was not
A lot of people seem to be so caught up on this courtesy note in the box. Had I been in the situation again, I would no doubt do so in a heartbeat 1000 times over if I felt alarmed at one point the other party would not hold up to their end of the agreement. I would much rather deal with the criticism and condemnation of my peers than risk loosing $365 in value on a trade deal with no recourse on my side. Lets see, be name called and accused or loose $357? Hmmm. Can one imagine IF I had sent my knife instead of the note, waited 2 days to receive his shipment notification? He then keeps my $107+ and sends me a $30 valued knife or and contacts the Post Office with an intercept and keeps my knife. Sorry, it is an outcome I would not be willing to live with. To those who have not had the pleasure of trade deal communications with ssghwhite and still put 100% trust and wouldnt mind risk loosing $357, good on you. Trade on
To ssghwhite:
Anthony, I harbor no ill will nor excess blame toward you for the deal not being completed. In fact, even though you created the thread it was never you who outrightly accused me of stealing your knife (though you obviously felt that way by actions of the postal intercept), but many others. You never even said anything disrespectful or attacking in nature. I also thank you for the prompt refund. After reading many posts to the nature of keep his money for your trouble or draw it out and make him wait I had concerns whether or not I would even get my money back or in any timely manner. But you showed the person you are. As far as sending me the knife goes. Who knows? I cant say for certain you upheld your end of the agreement as your knife never reached my hands and I was never afforded the opportunity to inspect it, verify it. Only you know the truth of this. I wish you the best in your future trade dealings but as for me and mine, it is over starting yesterday.
Sincerely,
