Bought a knife via paypal from Canadian member Varulv, and now I find out the knife I bought was a part of a trade which the seller didn't honor his end of the trade.

The trader who is getting the shaft noticed I have done business with this user and he emailed me asking questions. Turns out the knife I bought is actually the unfortunate trader who never got anything but a knife stolen (hopefully I am wrong).

Since I have a conciseness, I tried filing a dispute via paypal in order to get his $ back but since I chose to open it under the conditions of the knife not being as described (stolen) paypal says its out of their hands because they cant refund buyers who have issues with items not as described unless its through eBay. Not really sure what to do.

I hate to say it but I will no longer do business with Canada, a few terds have to ruin it for all the good. Sucks.

Damn dericdesmond, that really sucks.Seems like the crooks are growing in numbers here.I believe Spark should appoint a few members to go pay these POS bums a visit.:grumpy:
I hope it turns out well for you.

Yep, here is the thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=646892
USPS tracking # CP39 8474 862U S

shipping address:
Daniel Talbot
2-670 2E RUE E
La Sarre Quebec
J9Z 3K9 Canada

voice mail that he doesn't reply to at all: 819-520-0303

So pretty much he said we were going to trade knives, took my knife and sold it, and here on the board no less and never sent me my knife. Not looking good, no response from any of the emails sent...
Do not do business with him....

Liu Kang, I recommend that you start your own GB&U thread with Varulv's username in the title.

Or at the least, the OP might petition a mod to change the title of this thread to reflect the culprit's identity.

"another headache" doesn't do much to alert BFC members to the identity of a potential thief.

Id happily do this for anyone close to the USA zipcode 46825 (Fort Wayne, IN)

(( May be a "best movie quote" but not appropriate here. ))
Best movie quote ever!

I would happily change it, though whenever I try to modify a title it never shows up.

Looks like a mod got you covered.

Bump to the top.

It is "individuals" like this that make it difficult to trust the rest of us up here. If he was closer than 2000km away I'd try to help you out. I understand your choice about not selling to us anymore, but I wish you would reconsider- crooks live all over.

Ladies and gentlemen, we know when conflicts like this arise, tempers flare. Please keep your language appropriate to the forum. Using asterisks to garble vulgarity is not good enough. The problem is serious. Do not trivialize it with gutter language.

Do not give in to the bigotry of classing all members of a group, especially a national group, by the actions of one member. Canadians are one of the more numerous nationalities represented here, and certainly do not provide a significant number of our problems.

I have just sent my own invitation to Varulv to participate in this thread. Let us hope for a satisfactory resolution.

Well My brother Daniel (Varulv) is currently in Afghanistan for the Canadian Forces.

He asked me to take he's e-mail in charge but i have a life & other thing to do,so i don't go there very often.

today he (Daniel) saw this mess here and asked me to talk for Him.

He made a trade with Liu Kang, Here is the deal.

Liu Kang shipped is NNSFMO & asked him to ship the knife to him & a few days after he asked to ship the knife,a Busse Battle Mistres to a guy in Montreal named Pierre Navarro.

Daniel shipped the knife by Canada Post with a tracking number to Mr.Navarro.

Something about a week later Mr. Navarro said by email that he did not receive the knife... but the tracking number said delivered....do this guy received the knife or do the Post lost or deliver the package to a wrong adress?

The mistake my brother did is to not take insurance for the knife...

My brother is not a thieft,i don't know who is Pierre Navarro & where did Liu Kang find him.

derrickdesmond: it looks like you did not got ripped off.He sold the knives to you for a good deals & he shipped theses to you.

thanks to Esav Benyamin for he's invitation.

so from what i've read. V traded with liu. liu asks v to ship to navarrow. v ships to navarro. v trades knife from liu to d. navarro says he ain't got it. liu tells d v is a thief. brother of v tells this to us.

did liu tell him to ship it to navarro? does navarro have it? does v have it? does the postman have it? the neighbor?

is that it?

If your referring to me since I wont do business with them anymore than please dont over complicate things. Im not a redneck or hater of any one group, just had more problems in the limited times Ive worked with them (not all by any means) than I could ever dream of. As for the pulp fiction quote, I dont agree with you but I'll suck it up.

derrickdesmond: it looks like you did not got ripped off.He sold the knives to you for a good deals & he shipped theses to you.

I never said I got ripped off, however, I do feel like I have been a part of some weird stuff. Why would your brother sell a $350 knife to someone without even knowing if his end of the previous trade has been completed? I know not everyone crosses T's and dots I's when following through with communication but you would think your brother would make sure his $5-600 Battle Mistress has got where it needs to be before selling off the other.

Also, this thread is a day old and your bro has already seen it but you mean to tell me that he has not had a chance to respond to any of Liu's emails asking where his knife is? IMO, it is much more a priority to check and respond to emails then to check GBU.

As for this Navorro character, Im still a bit confused. Liu, can you clue us in?

Ok first off, this is my problem, and dericdesmond is only trying to help me. I've been a member here for a bit and well, my feedback speaks for itself. Yes I do a lot of transaction here, I'm addicted to knives.
I made the deal with Varulv to trade knives, mine for his, an even trade. Well, I had a friend in Canada named Peter that wanted the knife I was going to get so I figured it would be easier to have Varulv just staight up send the knife to my friend for him to save on shipping and time.
Varulv specified that he wanted insurance and tracking and I did provide that. Shipping to Canada sucks, it takes forever. So anyway eventually it gets there and then all of a sudden I don't hear from him. He doesn't speak english very well so I have Peter get in contact with him. Our request is also the same, tracking with insurance. Well supposedly, he sent it out with neither insurance or tracking, which sucks ass. The of course it gets loss. We were trying to get a hold of Varulv to try and get a hold of the knife. We don't even know for a fact if it was sent. Well, I just heard from Peter that says that Varulv has said that he is going to send out the knife. Well, I hate how he has dragged his feet but instead of taking a complete loss on this deal, is not blowing everything up just yet and holding on to hope. Supposedly Varulv is in the process of moving... and to date has not conatcted me in the last month of what is going on. This is not a good way to do business. He was very keen on keeping up with me with emails all the time, till he got his knife, then nothing....
So I'd like to thank dericdesmond for his help and support. I got his info because he was the only one that had left feedback from Varulv and I was hoping to get a working phone # from him but he did all he could to try and get me my money back. More then I could ask for, what a real knife collector that knows what it feels like to be left hanging, so I need to say thanks so much.
I know he has nothing against people from Canada, I deal with them too and don't have a problem. I deal internationally too, and don't have a problem with anyone. Usually it is a hassel and there can be problems but I try to help out with them getting a good knife as I would want someone to help me out. I just don't like to be ripped off and trust most people within the Busse community.
So right now, I got my fingers crossed and hope he sends this knife to my friend Peter. If anyone needs to contact me, you can reach me at liukang187@yahoo.com

I wonder if he's moving to Afghanistan.

Daniel shipped the knife by Canada Post with a tracking number to Mr.Navarro.

Well, I just heard from Peter that says that Varulv has said that he is going to send out the knife.

I wonder how he's shipped it twice now.

Something about a week later Mr. Navarro said by email that he did not receive the knife... but the tracking number said delivered..

Well supposedly, he sent it out with neither insurance or tracking, which sucks ass.

Well, you can't have a tracking# without shipping something out.

Liu Kang, I hope your transaction ends satisfactory, but I have my doubts at the moment.

Yeah, when I tracked that one at Canada Post, it says it was successfully delivered back on June 11.

Even if insurance had properly been obtained on the package (and it apparently wasn't), I don't think Canada Post would cover it if their tracking says it was delivered, correct?

I'm glad Valrulv's family is speaking up for him here, but this one just keeps getting more and more twisted.
