I understand your point. Someone who is not a flipper, a fan of traditional knives, enjoys reading here from time to time, and hasn't broken any rules might feel they are being harshly excluded if not allowed to purchase a forum knife.
The problem is if there are 500 made, and 700 people want them, it has to come down to either a mad scramble of first-come-first-served, or parameters must be set. That usually comes down to either time of membership, or amount of participation.
I don't want to be unwelcoming or elitist, but if 'club members' have to compete to get a 'club knife' it isn't really a club knife anymore and is just another GEC drop with our name on it.
