So far, the metal work was relatively easy. My goal for this knife was to make a small, last ditch, survival/fighter. With that in mind, I decided to keep the black coating and recoat the remodeled portions. I have different thicknesses of black micarta for the scales.

I'd recommend you whack a little 45-degree angle on the back of the edge so you don't cut yourself.

I changed my mind about the black coating. My bk14 will have a satin finish.

After I thought about it, I decided to put a satin polish on my BK14. The knife is sitting in Zip Strip right now. Thanks guys for looking and all comments.

I stoned a small radius on that very sharp corner. Sometimes it is those small details that get you if you forget. Thanks for the heads up.
