So as we all know, Moose has closed Beckerhead applications for the month of May.
Well, the month is half over and I bet he will have his hands full in a couple of weeks!

I just thought I'd throw this post out there and maybe give the new guys a chance to say hi.

Yeah, I hope so.
I know there are alot of people who just don't feel comfortable jumping in on a thread.
Hopefully this will give some of them the chance to jump in and get familiar with us.

howzit - my name is Phil or Philip or Hey LOL Just getting started with the sickness. Tonight's victim was a Collins machete chop chop. Tried to follow one of those youtube vids. File flat top for draws, scandi grind a section, filed down shoulder, small choil (got tired filing), and some really ugly jimping. Actually the whole thing is pretty ugly but it's all mine. Need to contour the handles. Maybe try checkering them? Lots to learn and glad to have found the forums here - great bunch of folks and so knowledgeable.

I need to get some better pics of that 7 and 9. They're still pretty new though. Have'nt even put them through the paces yet.
 
Hey guys I'm Streetdog and a potential Beckerhead. I already threw out an intro into the forum a little bit ago but this seems like a cool thread idea. I currently don't own any Beckers but once I get back from my deployement that will hopefully change. My plan is to get a BK9 and try modding it out and see how it goes. I know I know... not owning a Becker is a poor start to becoming a Beckerhead but I promise it's because I'm not in the states lol. Soon though....very soon. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and start building up my Becker posts.
 
I've been on here for a few years, but never got a Becker. I finally ordered a BK9! I'll apply for a number when there are spots available.

Im Pugs75, I have been on here for a few months lurking and finally posted with my BK7 that I modded, I just picked up a BK2 and not stopping anytime soon. Been on Bladeforum for a few years now but these damm beckers got me. I am a leatherbender and looking forward to updating to a seller in the future. I have a few more threads to start and then I can get my number.
 
I posted my new BK7 and 17 yesterday, but wanted to say thanks in this thread. I am enjoying the BK&T forum.

Also wanted to say howdy to StreetDog. I just got back from Afghanistan a couple of months ago, myself. 11 Bulletstopper, here. Stay safe, Brother.

I was planning to make some Osage Orange handles for my 17, but I ran it around some mesquite yesterday, and don't know what I could do to improve them. Think I'll just make some for the 7 and leave the factory stocks on the 17 for a bit.

I just discovered Beckers a few months ago but immediately felt the connection to the practical and reliable nature of these tools. And the more I researched them and hung around here, I found this subforum to just be most interesting and relevant place to hang out on this site. And the final completely irrelevant sign that it was just meant to be was that I have used this handle for years, got it out of where I was living at the time and where I'm from, so ending up so many BK's - BK2, BK9, BK12, BK14, well, it was just the right thing to do. now it's that machax and a couple tweeners that keep tempting me with every new pic and video that goes up here.
 
Prospective Beckerhead over here! Gots my BK9 and I'm loving it! Probably won't be a Beckerhead for a while... pics will come in a bit!
