Prospective Beckerheads...Please introduce yourself

Hello:

My name is gonzzo and I'm a beck-a-holic on a downward spiral. So far I have managed to not cut myself with any of my beckers. Those are, bk11(w/ tomar's scales), bk14 (w/esee and ka bar scales), bk2, bk16 and bk4.

Thanks all.

Gonzzo.

I'm Rick, retired LEO from southeastern NC... have a Camillus BK10 and BK11. Have learned a lot from you guys, and hope to meet the Beckerhead requirements eventually and be a real Beckerhead!

Hello fellow beckerheads Long time listener first time caller. Just an new member here looking forward to all the great ideas and suggestion everyone here has to offer as well as the knowledge

Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and taste. I've been around for a long, long year. Stole many a man's soul and faith. I was 'round when Jesus Christ had his moment of doubt and pain. Made damn sure that Pilate washed his hands and sealed his fate. Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name. But what's puzzlin' you is the nature of my game......

Sorry guys, couldn't stop myself once I saw the title.

Im already a Beckerhead, haha.

I guess I'm one now... I have an "EsKa-bar" BK 14 on order. Chose it over an Izula. It's going to be a neck knife for camping, hiking, backpacking, etc. I'm planning on cord wrapping the handle, and attaching my Storm whistle, and a ferro rod to the sheath.

Okay, an official introduction then it is:

Greetings, to all here on within the Becker Community. At work they call me C, CC or Double C. I'm originally from Honolulu Hawaii, born and raised then off to "da mainland" where I've lived in the Golden State more so than in HI. Been living here in the Evergreen State approaching five years now. Since I first heard/saw my first Becker which was the BK&T BK-9 HH, I've been seeking an opportunity to have at least just one. But since joining BladeForums, I've been able to acquire a few Beckers in a short period of time. Now I know you can't just have one!

Glad to be here!

Not yet maybe you should read the stickies ;)

Ok here goes:

My name is JP, I am the Network/Server Admin for a global specialty chem/pharma company based out of the Hudson Valley in New York. I have a tendency to jump from hobby to hobby as the mood strikes me, learning new things and adding them to my repertoire as it were. Currently knives are that hobby :) Once I get into something new I don't give it up, though it may not be the "current" hobby. Past hobbies have included: Target shooting (.22lr), woodworking, restoring vintage woodworking equipment, welding, paintball, custom computer cases, and a dozen others.

I have two Becker knives, a BK12 and a BK14. As much as I love the BK12, I think the BK14 is my favorite. This is mostly because I can't often carry the BK12, but the BK14 is with me wherever I go. I want to get my two Beckers just how I like them before I purchase any more, but future purchases will likely include a BK9 and probably one of the BK24's when they get released.

I have already applied for Beckerhead status :)

Hello and welcome to all. Its great to have so many new faces on the boards.

Hi I'm Cal, some of my friends call me Dutch, I live in Ontario, and work as a marine mechanic. I'm lucky to live in such a beautiful area with tons of lakes and nature close by. If i'm not working I'm usually out on the water fishing, camping or hiking with my dog. In winter I like to snowboard in my free time. I'm also obsessed with football (Soccer), I was gutted with the performance of Netherlands in the Euros this year, but I can't wait for August for Arsenal's season to start!

I first bought a bk7 as I wanted a decent all around camping knife, started finding reasons to use it around the house, and within a week I went and bought a bk14 which has now replaced my folders as my EDC. I've definitely caught the beckeritis as I'm now trying to decide on one of the tweeners for something in between the size of my 14 and 7. I'm thinking about a 15 as I could probably use it to clean some fish. I'm sure I'll be picking up some others as well, but for now I'm just trying to pace myself! Just want to say thank you to Ethan Becker for making such great knives

Hello, I'm Chris and I'm an aspiring Beckerhead. I've been sober far too long, but that's about to change! I have the next 4 days off and hope to get out and do some camping, workout my knives (have to keep them fit!) and have a general good time.
I like fishing, hunting, camping, and recently mountain biking (I blame my girlfriend for that).

I bought my first Becker 3 years ago, a BK 2, and have worked with it enough to trust it at my side. I have a BK 9 as well (with the China BK13 included), and have recently been working more with it. I have yet to find the log or stump to defeat it!

I'm a great believer in being prepared and learning something new everyday. Hopefully, those lessons don't entail needing an item or skill I don't have, but if they do, it's definitely a learning experience. I'm the guy that uses extension cord when he runs out of rope, so if you see a pickup with everything tied down by orange extension cord, honk and wave!

I don't know if I'll ever meet the requirements for being a Beckerhead (yes, I've read them!), but I would definitely love to join such a sacred group some day. Just the idea makes me miss old friends.

Hello, just wanted to check in on the BK&T sub forum. I currently have a Ka-Bar Next Gen USMC and a Camillus lock blade from the '80's. I've also been eyeing the BK11 for awhile. I'll post some pics as soon as I have a few good ones. Thanks!

I'm Dan, on my way to beckerheadedness.

Today is payday so when I get home from work tonight I'll be searhing out the best deals on a bk9. I hope this is an acceptable place to ask you beckerheads a question. The bk9 is great for chopping/batoning and I know that the bk2 is thought of as the indestructible jack of all trades in the line. My question is what tasks does the bk2 really accel at? Or when would you grab your bk2 for a job and not just use it because you have it on you?

thanks

Splitting wood. Simple enough.

I've used mine for a myriad of tasks, but a BK2 splits wood better than anything else it can do.
