i'd like to see some published info on a few factors...

heat treat protocols for 4140

once upon a time, Ethan said he'd tell me the secret guys that did the "hard chrome" that was the original premium machax - amazing

there's also a deep deep phosphate process that is the dark black/blue original cincinn machax and some div-tul stuffs, it doesn't seem to ever wear off - it's super smooth and clean... never seen anything like that either...

i do have a few original blanks, and i intend to get them into the community at some point, but i want to make sure it's done right

word to the wise, there's probably about 200 blanks also out there, that sooner or later will find their way to the market - they are actual blanks but they are not finished, nor, have the same cachet as originals in a sense... caveat emptor - buyer beware - old but new.

for me, any blank i release, will be stamped, or permanently etched to indicate that they are "fan based" etc...

Daizee. The project is still moving forward. I’m having some issues finding the right etching company. They literally have one shot at getting it right.
I’m trying to find one within driving distance. I’d like to examine examples of their work before handing over what I’ve named the Beckerhead Machax

Bladite Bladite A hard chrome would be fantastic. My only concern is the shallowness of the tang stamps. On my example they are very light. The hard chrome might obscure them.
I’m leaving the Machax in the white machine marks and all.
It looks industrial and used, sexy yet ruff around the edges. Kind of like myself HaHa I make funny.

Are you set on etching?

What about engraving?
Idk how expensive it is, but I've seen a maker here WValtakis WValtakis who does crazy good lines and stuff...... If I had an heirloom, I'd talk to him to see what he could do.
