Looks vaguely... Roman? or something.

D'Oh! I hesitated, went back; they were gone. Hesitation = no triangular box.

Awesome!! looks like my design finally came through!! It was a few months back that I came up with this. Looks almost just like what I envisioned! I was hoping to snag one when they came out, but alas, I am still saving for my trip to the dentist!

I favor the guard on the horn-handled model.

Yup, I like that guard too. That is exactly what I was thinking when I designed it. It is like Kumar read my mind.

Oh well, debt is good, email sent on the horn handled one. Probably should'nt, but I have been waiting for this blade for what seems like forever.

Like music and mathematics, perhaps there is a "universal language of the blade."

Very nice design.

Not sure, but here is the original thread,

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=391757&highlight=ideas

It was originally a combination of the end half of a Chitlangi blade and the Chitlangi handle. It was meant to be a smaller, practical camp knife version of the chit. I remember thinking "Chit-Companion" or something along those lines. If you can think of a better name, let me know. Maybe "Little Chit":D

Sweet! I got it! I will post pics and a test when I recieve the blade!

Good for you! You should get one of the first; it was a great idea. I like the horn guard better as well. With no dinero my shark teeth are pulled for a while, otherwise I would have given you guys a run on several models in the past few weeks.

I like this design very much. It is similar to the S-1 Karda I got some time back, but with very cool fullers and a larger guard.

I have to say I like the blade a bit better on this than on the S-1, however that one is still one of my favorite handling knives. It is about the same length and 3 oz. less that these, which makes sense because of the smaller brass guard on the S-1.

Hope we see some more of these.

P.S. Lefthandblack, we can't just call these "prototypes." Please give them a name for us!

P.S.S. Just read through your last post. "Little-chit" works for me. As in "I'm tired of your little chit, OK?" :D

Just paid attention: the horn handle is full tang and pinned as well. Talk about overbuilding. That one will last a long time, but the unpinned wood looks nice as well. Think I might have tried for the wood one and tweaked the guard a bit and refinished the handle.
