Prune Big, or Go Home!

Two fixed blade pruners. The larger branded OHYES and made by J & H R HOUNAM Sheffield. A firm I don't know anything about.

The smaller is a Joseph Rodgers & Sons.

Jack - another couple of great knives- Mate...just WHERE are you stashing all these knives!!!!!!

1500 - I just love the stamping"OhYes" , and that little Joseph Rodgers Fixed blade is very very cool -with that Swedge going on and all!!!

Some great knives posted fellas. That CJ of yours Duncan is a corker for sure.

Been a little bit of a dry spell for pruners lately but did find this nice early Queen, tang stamp is Queen City and if I'm reading the charts right this makes it from 1922 to 1932, decent shape for its age. It is a liner lock and someone fashioned a nice copper bail for it.

Just beautiful wood one that wonder, Augie! The copper bail is a great touch:thumbup: Nothing like a pruner and especially this time of year

Nice find, John! Full blade - mmmmmmmm!
The tang stamp does look like the older one from here!

Nice one John, just figured out where I saw that knife elsewhere and who you are there.:)

Is that a locking blade.?? Nice.

Thanks, Gev, Jack, Charlie and Lyle, I was happy to find this early one. Lyle, yes it is a locking blade, a couple pics with the blade closed, lots of blade showing.

Kind of funny how knife finds come in streaks, went from no old Queens to 2 old Queens in 1 month.
Found this early one, has the second generation tang stamp 1925 to 1932, the condition is about as close to mint as you will find on a 90 year old knife, pretty much looks unused with factory edge.
