1506654777845419079956.jpg this is my abuser. Picked it up in a small lot years ago and it digs through the roots and rocks with grace. It dulled on me last time it was out, I was too filthy to go inside so I sharpened it on a shovel. Took a good quick edge. Its pre WW2 based on its "made in Germany" mark and has a half circle with an arrow with FD in the center. Can kind of make out the mark on the tang above. Oh, and it snaps like a rat trap.

Nice ALPHA, S-K!! I've missed that knife. Thanks for bringing it back!!

Help Me Identify This Knife.

Hi guys, so after my grandfather passed away about 3 years about i got this pruning/hawkbill knife that belonged to him.
The only thing is that i have no idea how old or what brand it is, i think it could be atleast 25+ maybe 30 or 40 years old.
On the handle scales there are a couple markings on one side it says "42 or 420" and on the other side it says "4"
I think it hasn't bin used/re-sharped for atleast 20 years.
It's still in great condition (IMO) and it's also very sharp still.

Thank you guys, for helping me identify this knife :)

Wonderful S-K

Kevin-B (post #471 above) your pruner looks like a Tina, a high-grade Italian brand, although all the ones I have seen have tang stamps.

Nice to see that John Howarth again, s-k.

S-K .... absolutely wonderful Pruners. The Stag is presentation Grade on all three!
John-B - I agree with Charlie- I immediately thought European when I saw that Knife.

Paul- what a looker my friend!!! Beautiful Knife!
