Not all hope is lost!

I don't know about you all, but I was truly, deeply saddened and crushed to see how quickly all iterations of this Sprint Run sold out so quickly after the drop...However, as much as I wanted to get my hands on a knife in this blade steel, I absolutely refuse to support these parasititc, cancer-to-the-knife-commuity flippers - as I (and many others) have said before, these assholes ultimately are ruining the fun for everyone else, for the true enthusiasts who intend to carry and use and enjoy these fine knives. The best thing we can do to combat these flippers is to not give thm our money, whether through direct sales or through their ebay channels. Just to be clear, I have no problem with legitimate dealers who are paying their dues as dealers and playing fair (I even consider a couple of them to be friends) -- my negative feelings are just pertaining to the individuals who are continually trying to make a quick buck off of other peoples' and companies' hard work....human-leech status, if you will...

Anyway, in my desperation earlier today, I just happened to do a little web search for " Spyderco Rex 45" on that one huge online vendor that sells all kinds of things and happened upon a seller that still had a few Rex-45 Para3's in stock and available for shipment. All this rambling aside, I have some good news for those of us who missed out:


I got my order in, and now they're just down to 4 left! For those of you still on the hunt for what might end up being the ULTIMATE bomb-proof Para3, you better get on this quickly before they're gone!

I can't wait to get mine!

That said, hate is too strong a term. Personally, I just have no use for those who help create artificial shortages simply to profit by them.

There's no knife I need badly enough that I would pay their prices. But that's just one man's opinion.

Maybe we've gotten a little lax in that area and should start charging them "dealer memberships" to continue selling in the exchange.
 
What value are they taking away? If someone can make money doing something they love that’s great. Make as much money as you want/can as long is it honest and legal.

Personally, I think the answer is obvious and I alluded to it above...so I won't waste time trying to convince you otherwise.

A tick may have the genetic makeup and will to survive...just not at my expense.

I'll be having a discussion with Spark soon about corralling the abusers of our membership privileges as laid out in the rules for the site.

Certainly, those who share your point of view, (aka "dealers"), should have no issue with ponying up so that the site can profit for providing a forum with which to conduct commerce.

(And with that, I'm out for the night.)

If I'm trying to get a knife I want, and they sell out immediately, then some douche canoe lists the knives that is still enroute from the manufacturer, or dealer at a 100%mark up, because he hoovered up 30 examples I hope he falls on every single one while they are open, and guts himself while being eaten by Piranhas who also have herpies......

I would not pee on them to put them out if they were on fire, and had the cure to cancer tattooed on their skin....

I can't be any more clear than that.

Anyone who likes house flippers has never been in a tight housing market, with hyper inflated prices or lived through a bubble burst where flippers and speculators have driven up inflated prices.
