Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

Hope you get through this rough patch John! The thought of someone taking my boys makes me sick to my stomach. Seems like most of the time I hear of any thing like that around here, it's a crazy lady off her meds. Glad everyone is safe. Just keep you a pocket full of tampons and keep plugging up the ol snoze! Just like back in the wrestling days...
The look on Mel's face when I asked her for some tampons was priceless, it took her a second to realize why.

Yeah, the lady that tried to nab Roy is a known issue with the City Police. Suffers from dementia and has mental issues though she knew exactly what she was doing, from the placement of her car to using her grandson to lure Roy out. I'll spare the details but the fact that I even noticed what was going on in a park full of a hundred kids running around couldn't wasn't luck and you guys know I don't believe in coincidence. I happened to catch about a 3 second window of time from about 150 yards across the park, any earlier or later and I wouldn't have seen anything. Kids group up at these swim meets and run all over the place in droves at the park. You keep an eye on them but you can't keep them on a leash.

Wow what a crazy week for you guys glad to hear Roy is ok. You will be in my thoughts high blood pressure is nothing to mess with.

Wow! Wow, so glad to hear that Roy is ok! Glad, too that you were there to make the diff and see what was happening in that 3 sec window! I too suffer from high BP but mine is controlled well with the meds afore mentioned. Hope ya get things lined out that way too!

Glad to hear Roy is OK and you’re on the mend.

I had a blood pressure scare a few months ago myself, apparently I was in stroke territory. I was able to drop my BP by over 60 points with some lifestyle changes. It's been strange, I am used to getting headaches pretty regularly but haven't had one in months - I'd say things have improved for the better.

I hope you get yours under control, John - you'll live longer and happier and you'll be around to prevent loony old ladies from scooping up the wee ones (seriously, how messed up is that?!).

Not to get too carried away with the issue, but a new film about child sex trafficking really brings it to attention and how bad it is, I have only heard about it from a friend.

Somehow the cats missed this one in the yard. Roy and his lever gun took care of it.View attachment 2251539
Ya tell Roy that was some good shooting!

We just finished off our summer works at the ranch. Kinda suffering through some very high temps for us, hovering with highs just into triple digits, so we adjusted our work schedule. We'd gather in the early morning and come back again for cleanup around 7 pm. Come Friday evening we were pretty clean (found them all) got em fed in the pens and had some great tacos from our ranch cook Brother Bill. Sat morning it was breakfast burritos and coffee at 0530 and work started at 0600. Couldn't start much earlier as the corrals are kinda in the mouth of a canyon and wouldn't have been enough light to see what we were doing. Well sometimes the well laid plans of mice and men actually come to fruition. We were completely done by 10:30 which was crazy. We got a good crew, use to working together and we got er done. Everybody went home took a shower and a nap if you're an old guy like me, and we came back for dinner at 7. Brother Bill grilling up some shrimp:

He threw a large dab of butter in there and covered em up while he got going on the ribeyes:

Bill has all kinds of kitchen knives, many that I've made him but day in and day out he uses this Sonoran Hunter I built him years ago out of A2 at 62 RC with a sheephorn handle.

Yeah those will work:

What's felt like a complete absence from knives and the forum is at it's end. I've come out the other side and I'm back feeling better than I have in a long time. The hypertension issues created other issues that have been kicking my ass for too long. I'll spare the details, nothing worse than listening to the woes and excuses of a knifemaker.

As the kids summer sports come to an end and the reality of being full time around the corner, I'm back in the shop. How's everybody been?

Glad you got it squared away and feeling better John:thumbsup:

I'm glad you're doing better John, I been doing nothing but putting in as much OT as I can for my new shop build.

Thanks Scott. New shop build?...man that's exciting!!! Keep us posted, we'd all love to hear your plans. We've been discussing putting one up within the next few years.

It's in its infancy right now but I'm limited to a 720 SF building per village regs. but I may be able to get a variance for a couple more feet. I'll keep you updated.

Glad you're feeling better, John. I need to look into my hypertension problems a little more. It's been high for a while and it's not getting lower. 165 over 110 isn't common but it isn't uncommon either. 155 over 93 is the number I see most. Typing it here just may be what I need to work on getting it under control.

Get it checked out Mack, it takes a while to get the meds dialed in but where you're at it should be fairly easy to drop yours under 140/80. When you hit 248/122 shit gets crazy. I'm eating a damn medicine cabinet a day but it's better than strokin out.
