Uuhhhmmm, could you not find any Barlows???Went to a swap meet today and found some more I couldn't pass up. Most are Colonial or Imperial. The Barlow in the top left says Naugatuck Cutlery...not a lot of info on it yet but seems to be pretty old. I do not collect knives ...(I keep telling myself that) I just tell the wife they are too good of a deal to pass up!!

I was starting to think I had a problem so I left a few Barlow's behind lol. It was rough but I already had one like them so they made it easier.Uuhhhmmm, could you not find any Barlows???

That one says Naugatuck Cutlery on it. I'm ask about it over in AllAboutPocketKnives. It a Connecticut com and I think late 1800s but not 100% sure. Definitely seen better days but the bone is really aged nice.
Is that an old Northfield Barlow in bone on the top left? Looks like a nice one!
Also really cool tools on the right? Some kind of sailors tool or rope workers?
Thanks Mack...yeah I paid $95 for the lot! .there was one more knife that the wife picked out....it was a red bone handle barlow...but after I looked at it was really bad Pakistani something so it didn't make the pic lol.The sailors knives once again. Geez, those go for a mint out here.
Nice haul.
Who made the ones with the pinched bolsters? Sheffield I'm assuming. Thanks Mack...yeah I paid $95 for the lot! .there was one more knife that the wife picked out....it was a red bone handle barlow...but after I looked at it was really bad Pakistani something so it didn't make the pic lol.
No Sheffields in this bunch. Colonial, imperial and a Kutmaster....besides the Naugatuck.Who made the ones with the pinched bolsters? Sheffield I'm assuming.

Yep looks like the sales crew is ready to work. Especially the one in front! We were at a show one time called The Californios up in Red Bluff. We had our booth set up and were doing quite well. The Californios was a legendary show and we always did very well there.. It was always a small show but for some reason folks came there to not only watch the roping but to spend some $$. Had a buddy competing one year and he stopped by the booth before his go. Would it be ok to park their new puppy, in his crate, in our booth while he was roping. That way his wife could watch him rope too, as they had a strict rule about how close a dog could be to the roping pen. Said sure. Well we weren't doing them any favors. Other way around. Folks would come into the booth and see the pup under the table in his crate and they'd get down on their hands and knees and make all the regular coo coo noises people make to lil pups and then they'd stand up and say. I'll take five wild rags, four knives, that one, that one and a couple others and how many spur straps do you have and also will need silver concho slides for the wild rags and oh a copy of that book. Thanks. We had long discussions about renting the puppy for the rest of the show!Hey all, hope everyone is doing well. Good timing, bad timing, good news, bad news, they're all just different flavors I reckon. We're doing good here and I think adjusted to the new norm, a few of you know what I'm talking about.
We recently picked up an RV, though a terrible financial decision it's been a great addition to the family. Going to the kids swim meets around the state and a few camping trips has been a lot of fun. I'm envisioning it full of knives and hitting shows with it someday. Here's the sales crew loaded up.

Now for knife news, which is what we're all here for, I'm doing some grinding today and working on some things that have needed my attention since the beginning of the year. After an unwanted but necessary hiatus this year I'm getting things back on track!
So what's new in everyone elses world?
