Purple! Because Ice cream has no bones!

Yep looks like the sales crew is ready to work. Especially the one in front! We were at a show one time called The Californios up in Red Bluff. We had our booth set up and were doing quite well. The Californios was a legendary show and we always did very well there.. It was always a small show but for some reason folks came there to not only watch the roping but to spend some $$. Had a buddy competing one year and he stopped by the booth before his go. Would it be ok to park their new puppy, in his crate, in our booth while he was roping. That way his wife could watch him rope too, as they had a strict rule about how close a dog could be to the roping pen. Said sure. Well we weren't doing them any favors. Other way around. Folks would come into the booth and see the pup under the table in his crate and they'd get down on their hands and knees and make all the regular coo coo noises people make to lil pups and then they'd stand up and say. I'll take five wild rags, four knives, that one, that one and a couple others and how many spur straps do you have and also will need silver concho slides for the wild rags and oh a copy of that book. Thanks. We had long discussions about renting the puppy for the rest of the show!

Sure glad things are going good!!!
If ours wasn't such an a&$hole to everyone but us that would be a great plan! The most gentle, polite animal I've ever seen when it comes to us but an evil protective psychopath when it comes to anyone being around the kids. Our Anatolian was that way but that was his job and he stayed on the property. We got this little guy so he could travel with us. He's probably gonna lose his nuts pretty soon but I doubt even that will calm him down.

"....wait whut?..."

Great color on this leather, while waiting to get finished it sat on the bench long enough to darken up and give it a really rich color.

Hey , John ! Great to hear from you. Looking forward to Redmeadow getting back in action. Have fun with the new rig ! My wife and I sold our Airstream we had been living in for two years to settle down and have kids. Now, we are looking into a camper again to take the boys around. We have been taking them rafting every weekend this summer. My oldest still has the Matchbox you sent to him with a Cowbell!

Glad to hear the Matchbox is going strong, I remember when me and my boy picked it up in town!

Having a rig is new to me, I've never had any kind of camper until now. My wife has wanted one for a while and there comes a point where you say screw it, life's too short so we pulled the trigger.

We had gone down to Texas for other reasons earlier this year and looked at a gigantic rv place. It was so big they handed out golf carts to run around in, there was no way we would have seen the whole place on foot, smart move on their part. Of the literally 100's we looked at one model stood out and checked all of our boxes. Got back home and kept an eye out and there happened to one for sale a few hours away.

Quite the learning curve driving but so far it's been great and the family is loving it. Upgraded to lithiums and changed a few other components, I now know way more about rv systems than I ever cared too know!

Anyways, enough about that, I've gotta get a Newsletter written up for that Cowbell spear point!

Just an FYI, the old leg fryers haven't been completely wiped off the map!

And yes, I pulled over to give it a whirl for old times sake.
OMG that is so hilarious! We were just talking the other day about playgrounds when we were kids that we didn’t have any squishy ground under our swings and slides and no plastic slides.

Talked about how horrible it was when it would catch your bare legs on the way down the slide and make that “sqeeeeek” 🤣. So funny!

Was there also a pay phone near there? Haha

There was, checked the slot, empty. Rode my bike to the corner store, got 35 cents worth of Now and Laters, played a game of Centipede, rode to my friend's house and traded baseball cards, got a Rollie Fingers for a Steve Garvey. Can't believe he's leaving the Dodgers, watched McGyver, ate some tortillas with peanut butter and sugar, snuck two otter pops out of the freezer, played rock paper scissors for who got Alexander the Grape. I won, he got the blue dude with the beret, gay.

They're both growing up way too fast. Car show and 1/8th mile races yesterday, they had a lot of fun.

A great pic! We’re having our big car show this weekend too. Its called Thunder on the Mountain. Bout noon they start em all up hence the name. Two rodeos, a ranch rodeo, a memorial roping, a carnival, a parade, a beer garden in the park and a couple of craft fairs. All the doings. Its called the Tehachapi Mountain Festival. Our neighbor final got his Aston Martin running and he’s got it at the show. The car is probably worth more than his house!

I know I’ve told ya this before but you are gonna turn around and Roy is gonna be 6’3” and 245 like my son and Ains is gonna be off at college, get a job and be some place else making a living. Dang kids do that.
