My wife got me a "just-because-it's-Tuesday" gift last week and I ended up with these sweet new whisky glasses. Naturally, I had to christen them with my last couple of fingers of Lagavulin (need to get another bottle...)

Dylan, are those the darkened Norlan glasses? If so, color me extremely jealous!!!

Just realized how prevalent the letter "C" is in my knife world...Conner, Cowbell, Carothers, Cold Steel, Colin Shannon, and of course, Collection. Any one know Scott Hanson Scott Hanson 's middle name?:D

Back in town, spent a couple of days down in Fort Benton for my little girls 7th Birthday.

Spent some time in a leather shop and was able to play around with a leather sewing machine, a Cobra model 20 $$. Might be a good investment though. Had a nice conversation with the owner.

That's living life the right way my brother!  We're headed to the lake tomorrow. :)

Sometimes YouTube takes you down some strange roads...

I was looking for this one, as it's pretty neat and I hadn't seen it in a while.

Saw this in the watch next.

Several videos later (you know how it goes), stumbled across these and kinda blew my mind :D

The Star Spangled Banner on that shovel at 14:06 in the last video is wild

What do these look like from the side? Are these intended to be chilled?

Anybody here from Montana? Well this will make you want to go. ~ SEE HERE ~
Awesome video Ray! One of the reasons I love the front range Rocky Mountain states. That float reminds me of the Green River below Flaming Gorge in Utah. I'd love to do that full 24-mile float in my drift boat, but it's a bit smaller and I don't think I'd have room for my family and gear for 6 days, lol. We usually just do the first 7 miles in one day. :)

Pretty sure these are the newer "smoked" Norlan whisky glasses.

My apologies for the late reply, Ray.

Jared is right - they are the Norlan Whisky Glass VAILD (black version). Here is a pic with design features and marketing lingo...

I have not heard of a whisky glass that is meant to be chilled, to be honest. Also, I am a "neat" sort of guy and will only add a wee bit of water to some scotch whiskies if I feel it is warranted. These glasses will take a bit of ice if that strikes one's fancy though.

Those glasses are elegant! At the least, the web site photos, are beautifully done :)

My brother has a set of the regular, clear Norlan glasses that he got back during the Kickstarter campaign. Wish I had gotten in on that, the price has nearly doubled since then! Anyway, I have been impressed how well they really do bring out the aromatics of a Whisky. I'll get a set eventually.

Long story short, I had a great week with some very unexpected company. My brother and his family Ended the visit with a trip to Glacier.
