Ahhhh. This thread does my heart good to see so many Men stand up and speak out about the Pussification of America. I've always called it 'The Feminization' of America, but both titles work. It's been going on for decades. I'm glad there's actually a group of men who recognize it for what it is. I was beginning to feel all alone
.
When I speak to other people about what I believe is taking place, some look at me like I was a kook, others will nod their head in agreement but you can tell it's just to pasify me. A few actually get it. It's my belief that this "thing" that has been happening to our Men has been well planned and implemented for many, many years.
If you look back in time, I'm betting you can spot about when it started...well...if you're over 40 or so you probably can. It started with the act of making the Dad of the family the goof. This still happens today. How many TV shows (or commercials) can you name where the Dad is the dufus of the show? How many can you name that the mother, daughter or sister is the dufus?
It has seemed to me that this is just part of the attack on the traditional family. One where Men were the head of the family. At some point in time, it became "not cool" for Dad to be the leader of the family as he was designed to be. Somehow, somewhere, Mom wanted to become the leader. Just try and suggest that a woman can't do anything a man can and see what happens! This includes everything from combat to felling trees to pulling people out of burning buildings.
Over this same amount of time, the bar has been lowered so people who would not otherwise be considered a "Man" now can be considered their equal. This not only includes women, but many males as well.
How have we gotten to the point where standing up to a bully in school will actually get the one standing up to them in more trouble than the bully? When I was in school, you dealt with a bully one of two ways. You made it very uncomfortable for him to pick on you through your fist or you ran away.
Is it any wonder that a lot of this "pussification" we're calling it started around the same time this document was published? I reread this document about every other year or so and it's unnerving how much they've accomplished since 1963. Here is one of their goals and I'd say they're doing a good job of it.
40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
Lot's of people who read this wonder why 'easy divorce' would be a goal. Because the people who wrote this knew that once you broke up the family, Mom would be raising the kids for the most part. There would be no dominate male influence in their lives, or if there were, it would be very little.
I see this in today's times. I'm a Royal Ranger Commander and a large part of my class is made up of boys from single parent homes. All these boys live with their mothers. When I first took over, I could immediately tell which boys came from a traditional family and which came from a home where Mom raised them. The boys without Fathers are such wimps for the most part, it's not even funny. I have 9 and 10 year old boys who will cry like babies at the drop of a hat. At last night's meeting, the oldest one cried because he lost at a game of Big Buck Hunter (it's a TV video game). He sat in the corner and cried like he'd just lost his best friend. Sadly, it's not the first time. When we go on outings, many of them are scared of their own shadows and don't want to do anything except sit around and snack on junk food.
I guess the short of it is that, yes, the Pussification (or Feminization) of America is real and it isn't any accident that it's taking place. Not only is it due in a large part to the media and those on the Left, but it's due to too many of our young boys being raised by a single Mom or by "girly men" dads who won't get out in front of a computer or away from ESPN to teach their boys how to become a real Man. It's also due in part because too many men today are willing to compromise their moral beliefs. It's too easy to flip flop on what you believe in so long as someone doesn't look down on you. Shudder the thought of being ridiculed by friends and family for standing up for what's morally right and for what you believe in!
